It's not a range that excites me to be honest. So this is something that I can pass on and save a bit of money.

I imagine a few trips on and around earth then? I find it hard to believe that Satellite 5 was THAT exciting if he'd been travelling off to different planets and solar systems. I'm going to have to re-watch the two episodes beforehand to get my head around it I think. I've just watched the first couple of minutes of The Long Game (the joys of streaming) and I can't see how anything can be squeezed in between Dalek and The Long Game. His face, the whole intro is geared up to someone who has no idea what to expect. It looks very much like a first trip to me. Oops, now I'm sounding like a grumpy geek from the canon police Cheers Tony

Well the writer's are certainly strong. If the cast list is not finalized I am hoping for more people from the 9th Doctor era. It would have been nice if John Bannerman could have been involved somehow too.
And I hope that they will develop Adam's character. I honestly was not happy with what they did with this character in the TV series.

This is unexpected but very welcome. I'm quite looking forward to the Ninth Doctor release, and Adam was a very intriguing choice. I think he’ll contribute to a very interesting dynamic. I tend not to like Rose much on her own, but I find her a lot more interesting when she has someone with whom to interact. Nicholas Briggs recently voiced the Seventh Doctor in free Doctor Who - Short Trip Forever Fallen by Joshua Wanisko, which can be found here. Huh, all this time I kept thinking his name was Joseph.

Damn you Big Finish Just when my wallet had thought it had recovered, you come in and beat it up again for its money lol
So Nick will have voiced 5 Doctors on audio now once these are finished (7, War, 9, 10 AND 11)

I can't remember which podcast it was, but I think I recall that he mentioned in passing that he recorded some additional squawking sounds for Peter Davison when the Fifth Doctor was being strangled in one story. If that's true, there's his quick and easy path to completing the set!

If I recall correctly he's also narrated at least one 2nd and 8th Doctor short trip in the past. I can see people's hesitation about Nick headlining but personally I haven't been disappointed by any of his prior performances as a Doctor. Therefore I decided to pre-order this series as I'm dying to hear more ninth doctor stories!

well this is not exactly what i wanted for 9,10,& 11 but i will take it. nick makes me laugh he is like the annoying kid in class that always cry i will do that miss, can i do that, miss miss miss i think i will be good at that. but its fine, but why not get someone who can do a reasonable voice for the doctors and move forward with that as for now its better than no new series doctors.
so when are they going to announce the short trips for the new range? more strax? a range featuring just the master? come on ...just imagine

Well, this is unexpected! I'll definitely be getting the Ninth Doctor set: after BF did such a great job giving McGann so many more stories, it's the Ecclescakes era that looks barren. If Nick's Nine is as decent as it was in 'Night of the Whisper' i'll be fine with it - that worked pretty well for me. More Adam Mitchell s an odd surprise, but a welcome one. And Jackie Tyler - Yay!

Really not sure how I feel about this, I'm glad the respective Doctors are getting new audio stories (especially the 9th Doctor) but the absence of the actual actors (and more likely than not the companions as well) will be kinda hard to work my head (or ears) around (it worked fine in Destiny of the Doctor and the CC's-but the CC's were from the companions point of view and the majority of which featured long deceased Doctors), but I'm not sure I'm nostalgic enough about the 10th or 11th Dr's yet to get that excited about new stories anyway, I'll wait for more details but I'm probably going to pass on these for now. Nick does a very decent Eccleston impression (haven't heard his Tennant or Smith) but I think I'd actually find it easier to except the absence of the Doctors if the companions were narrating the tale, rather than a straight recast.

Well I didn't expect that! I'm not sure how I feel about it either. I don't mind Nine/Ten/Eleven chronicles, in fact I'm desperate for them ... but not sure of the wisdom of Nick doing the Doctor in them? Surely they could get the actors who appeared in the series to voice the doctor (as per the original CCs)? It strikes me a bit like "we aren't getting the actors to reprise Nine/Ten & Eleven" and we want it to be different, so we'll just get Nick in to do the voices. It begs the question, "Why break a working system?". I bet Camille could do a pretty good Nine, hell get Barrowman back in. Don't get me wrong, I like Nick ... never met him, but I like him but doesn't he have enough to do already? What does this mean for the Prisoner Vol 2?I'll have to think about this. I might just wait. Damn. I hate being negative about these ... Cheers Tony So do I, I really do. I love what Big Finish do, but can't help but feel irked about this, especially the line I've bolded. Preseumably many people, myself included, preordered The Prisoner volume 2 - people Nick said he really appreciates for supporting the controversial passion he has for the Prisoner re-imagining - and now our preorder seems have been shoved backward six months in order to make time for this latest thing he's involved himself in. There's little worse than a whinging customer, but at the moment I am a whinging customer, I'm sorry to say. I'm surprised BF haven't fulfilled the orders they already have 'in the bank' before embarking on new stuff.

It's great to see that collected 9th and 11th Doctor ranges added to the ranges page. (Interesting to note Churchill V2 is listed under 9th Doctor again)

After Destiny of the Doctor, Nick Briggs was already my first choice to fill in for Eccleston, so I'm excited. I remember hearing his Tenth Doctor in the audiobook for Prisoner of the Daleks, and it wasn't bad. Does anyone know how his Eleventh Doctor is?

Pretty cool news. Nick voicing the Ninth Doctor set is fine by me since he did Night Of The Whisper and that was well received. Even if Stephen Beckett in The Kingmaker sounds so uncannily like Eccleston naturally that he would be my number one choice. We can cross the bridges of the 10th and 11th Docs when we hear more about those in the future. Camille coming back again after the upcoming Captain Jack set is very cool. She's very much the heart of that first series for me, the conscience of it. Not incredibly fussed about Adam but nice to expand the Ninth Doctors era farther. Surprised he can fit it in with him being back on Corrie full time. Good of you to consult RTD, Scott, but for me at least I wouldn't care even if on screen it looked like there were no gaps for stories - if the choice is not getting more because of continuity or getting more and continuity be damned...I know which I'd prefer.
