Nightmare Of Eden, "my arms, my legs, my everything". "Interfere? Of course we should interfere. Always do what you're best at, that's what I say." Lol, and David Dakers drunk acting has to be seen to be believed.

The cabin full of people in silver parkas and orange goggles like mutant Omopa Loompas. And on the not so camp side there's the genuinely interesting idea of two ships fusing, not to mention the CET Machine, which not only stores actual samples of the ecology of different worlds, but can also be interacted with.

The plotting of Nightmare of Eden is FANTASTIC. And K9 manages to get something of a character story for himself, overcoming his fear of the distortion. I think what really hurt it more than anything was the direction. Imagine if it'd been a part of the Hinchcliffe era, Romana would have gotten her own "So you see, I'm not going to let you stop me now!" moment with Fisk holding her at gunpoint, the Mandrel attack on the passengers while the captain laughs could have been horrific, the Doctor's quiet rage at "the profits of human suffering", etc.

The plotting of Nightmare of Eden is FANTASTIC. I love the cliffhanger of the Doctor and Romana jumping through the Stargate after dialing up Eden.

Revenge of the Cybermen is a personal favourite although it does get a bad rap. I also don't think Twin Dilemma and the Dominators are anywhere near as bad as their rep.

Love is a bit strong but I do enjoy the Dominators. Okay the costumes are awful but it has some fantastic Doctor/Jamie moments and that alone makes it a worthwhile episode for me.

I have yet to be able to make it through The Dominators. I laugh so hard at the costumes that I can't take any of it seriously.

I'll throw my hat in the Timelash-is-okay pile. I've watched it again recently and I see its many flaws but can shrug them off. I've seen worse - it's certainly not boring.
And honestly it's the twins plot of Twin Dilemma that takes me out of it. Colin's stuff is all fine. He's obviously being directed to play the character far too big but the man sells it.
For love but hate though, people really hate Let's Kill Hitler. It might actually be my favourite Eleventh Doctor story. I get the problems with it but the frenetic madcap pace is perfect, the idea of the Teselecta is inspired and some of the lines are pure gold. And overall it's just fun.
For books, I don't think Spiral Scratch has a great rep (its first 50 or so pages were rated the worst part of the year by some Who fans I believe?) but I loved it - just so twisty and dense with internal continuity.
Also, I've less love for it, but Divided Loyalties also landed way better for me than for others - especially the Gallifrey section that some people hate so much they refuse to accept it as canon. My reasons for not loving it are more about a quick, weakish ending and a lot of filler, rather than messing with the Doctor's past.
As for audios, I relistened to The Maltese Penguin the other day. I think it's a charming little romp. Not the best thing BF has ever produced but Frobisher is so often said to have "one brilliant audio and one rubbish one".

I have yet to be able to make it through The Dominators. I laugh so hard at the costumes that I can't take any of it seriously. The costumes are terrible, and all of the guest characters are ridiculously cheesy. The Dominators are some of the most pathetic villains in Doctor Who. The only reason that they were so successful is that the Dulcians are some of the most pathetic good guys in Doctor Who. Despite all that, the episode is a lot of fun, and it is very funny at times. I think a lot of the humor was unintentional, but still.

constonks I didn't realize Maltese Penguin was hated I really enjoyed it. Okay it's not The Holy Terror but it's a loving parody of film Noir and as a Film Noir fan it's a lot of fun. And the idea of Frobisher and the 6th Doctor in a Noir is so ridiculous it cracks me up (at least Frobisher is in black & white well except when he is playing the 6th Doctor lol)

Honestly, I think it could've worked if they played it straight, but the comedy is so on point that the series would have been the lesser for it not existing.

If I had to pick one story, I would have to say '42', I really don't get the hate for this story as I personally love it

The Rings of Akhaten - I don't really get the hate for this one, it's quite a sweet episode, actually. That story took my breath away when I first saw it, and has only improved in my estimation in repeat viewings. I was shocked when I learned it was a hated story by fans.

Good solid story with nice visuals, great setting and the unnerving sight of the Doctor losing control of his own mind. Possibly the problem is that the latter half of Series 3 has such a strong run that it gets lost in the mix for being more traditional (compared to Human Nature, Blink, etc.)

Meglos! Funny, silly, great characters, great idea, ridiculously fun villain - all anchored by a truly frightening turn by someone called Tom Baker playing Meglos playing The Doctor. This is an excellent, underrated gem of a story. Well, I think so, anyway.

The only real problem I have with MEGLOS, LAST OF THE ZOLFA-THURANS (From the dead planet) is that the actual Doctor and Romana don't have very much, if anything, to really do.
