The trailers were indeed perfect teasers! Great chemistry, those two!

Pretty much my only complaint is that "Series 0" only comprises 3 stories! I guess all together we'll have 17 with the pair (or should that be 'couple', by the end there?)

What are you considering "Series 0"--I assume you mean the regular audiobooks that take place BEFORE Series 1, so "The Last Stop", "The Devil Mask", and "The Voodoo Amulet"? Leaving "The Phantom Bride" and "The Devil Cat" for post-Series 3?

Based on this I should get The 3 before series one first? Does one have to have knowledge of DS to follow this?

I had no specific knowledge, I remembered the show from my childhood late 70's early mid 80's. I just listened to random stories and picked up a bit here and there .

There is a download bundle of those stories (and the other two) available here if you wanted to. But frankly you could just get series 1 of the Tony and Cassandra Mysteries and take it from there. The previous stories aren't necessary to enjoy it at all.

I figured that with more Tony and Cassandra in the cards, I'd go ahead and finish listening to the first set as I'd been saving away the last story, The Mystery of Karmina Sonata. I'd sort of guessed what was coming given future casting but that was still remarkably creepy. I probably don't offer praise to Aaron Lamont often enough, but you're always in for a good scare with Aaron - which is one reason I was very happy about the recent news that there is more to look forward - although the great performances in The Mystery of Karmina Sonata also deserve credit for the chills and thrills. Next up, The Mystery of How I Will Contain Myself Until The Next Tony and Cassandra Set.

I've added a reminder to my phone after my next payday to make some Big Finish purchases. Then I can buy the new releases in one fell swoop, and then impatiently await their releases in the coming months.

Quick question, can I listen to this boxset before the single releases, as it is at a great price right now so I want to pick this up and the single releases when I'm looking for something to add to my basket to even it up?
EDIT: It seems that Rob Morris has already answered my question three posts up or so. Cheers everyone.

Hopefully this free episode on boards some great new Dark Shadows fans. It can seem like a daunting task, but I love reading new fans' responses to the story and their new ideas. It's always great to get some new blood to mingle in with the more experienced.

Sorry that the rain has ruined Bondfire Night, but hopefully some Dark Shadows will be most atmospheric in the rainy nights. The show had a lot of thunderstorms.

I listened to this box set yesterday. An enjoyable set of stories. I had already heard the Crucifix Heights story as a standalone, which was basically what motivated to buy the set. I love the interactions between Tony & Cassandra. I have box set 2 waiting for me when I get a chance to continue listening.
