Cute. I just went back and re-listened to that email segment. I'm beginning to think, though, that Benji and Nick are speaking mostly for their own benefit. Though I do enjoy the interview segments, which is the main reason I keep listening. I skip the free 15 minute "teases" for the most part.

As much as I’m more than willing to give Stephen Noonan a chance it’s going to be strange I must admit having two ongoing First Doctor series with two very different actors.

Never mind Nick Briggs's patronising chuckle, "Batman '66 meets Steed and Mrs Peel" was real, although nowhere as good as "Batman '66 Meets The Man from UNCLE"

“Plans and Recordings for DWs 60th Anniversary have been ongoing for the past 2 years the final batch of recordings should be this Autumn“
Well we know that Tom Baker already recorded some segments for his part But I wonder Autumn is September/ October and November I hate to think that they are saving a place for The Chibnall Era Doctors for the 60th given that they have begun work on planning a Jericho Boxset spin off series according to the actor
Another idea is that they are waiting for Smith and Capaldi but if they are spending two years getting actors it’s bound to be a big Boxset like the legacy of time

Why the need to be so petty?

Given the way Nick says "I've got a funny feeling that we'll probably finish the last recordings for it at some point this autumn. Maybe something like that, yep", it's very knowing and I wouldn't at all be surprised if it's because that's when BF will get the Chibnall-era rights.

It might not be something substantial, as we don’t know what form Big Finish’s 60th anniversary release will take, but it did seem to hint at an attempt to celebrate and be representative of the whole show.

I've been wondering when the transition of rights occurs Is it when one Doctor leaves or is it when the new Doctor has made a proper start or some point in between? Though, I understand that Big Finish do need to clear it with the BBC

Though, I understand that Big Finish do need to clear it with the BBC I don’t think it’s happened enough to have a clear answer, to be honest; we’ve only had the Capaldi era end since Big Finish got the post-2005 licence. And we know that RTD & Moffat have been asked permission for certain characters, despite them being part of the era Big Finish are licenced for. And the Short Trips Memorial have certain restrictions imposed too. Ultimately it’s not clear cut.

We know that they've got a Professor Jericho boxset coming out so they're clearly allowed do some work before the changeover.
