BF got the rights to use Capaldi era elements the moment "Twice Upon a Time" finished airing, that much is known (although given the close proximity of the first releases with said elements to that happening it is clear work was already in motion before they could legally sell them).

We know that they've got a Professor Jericho boxset coming out so they're clearly allowed do some work before the changeover. My guess is they're writing stuff but they'll only record once they have the rights, and this will be the same for the Thirteenth Doctor's appearance in the 60th.

Some of the HG Wells adaptations were recorded before BF could legally sell them, FWIW.

Wells stories were in the public domain. 70 years following the authors death at years end, so on December 31st 2016, loads of companies had e-books, novels, audios etc ready to sell...and at the stroke of 00.00, Jan 1st 2017 they could. Except for the weird case with War Of The Worlds where Jeff Wayne has the hold on the title, hence "Martian Invasion Of Earth" and the likes.

That origin story idea for the Banks Cybermen has got me thinking. Have we ever had a story which detailed one Cyberman model slowly advancing into another one?
Say the Moonbase model becoming the Invasion.

Nick questions why you'd listen to a drama tease for a linked boxset when you haven't heard the previous ones You could easily flip that on its head. Why would you do a drama tease, designed to get people to purchase, for a linked set because by his logic those that have listened to previous ones are going to get it anyway?

Say the Moonbase model becoming the Invasion. Aside from the Voord becoming a proto-version of The Moonbase design in the ever controversial The World Shapers comics, not really.

Aw. I have to say I’ve yet to give my verdict on his First Doctor but I’m steadily becoming a fan of Stephen Noonan as a person. Takes a lot of courage to attend these sort of events especially considering some of the feedback on the first trailer.

The First Doctor Adventures have to be heard to be believed in my opinion but I don't doubt that he was giving it his best. I hope no one was outright nasty to his face, or anyone's for that matter. I imagine quite a few people over the years have turned Doctor Who down flat because of the nature and intensity of the fandom.

I showed my wife a youtube video of a compilation of "fans" in the Supernatural fandom being outright rude at Conventions. Everybody knows that Jensen, Jared, Mischa etc give there all to the fans- I was cringing, a couple were outright antagonising them- 1 was even questioning their personal life real life marriages.. If looks could kill.. OMG..
Be kind or don't bother going.!

Interesting tidbit from the Listeners Emails section regarding Frobisher and asking if there would be more Stories with 6 and Frobisher (was pretty annoying to hear Nick eating throughout the section) One of the reasons they didn't continue with Frobisher was that back then in 2000/2001 there was a huge backlash to The Holy Terror because Frobisher wasnt a TV companion with many listeners saying they wouldn't buy the audio. apparently now because of time and Robert Shearman's Dalek its getting the respect it deserves
However and even more frustratingly Nick didn't answer the question if Frobisher wasn't coming back just basically abandoned the question to move onto the next email
like really Briggs have some respect and just say that there isn't any plans or nothing at the moment.

From this article mentioning "maybe a familiar face - voice? - or two", and Rayner mentioning in the Water Worlds Vortex preview that Six, Mel and Hebe are a "total dream team (and the team eventually gets even creamier)", I reckon there's a chance Frobisher will make a return.

A cliffhanger leading into set 2 being Frobisher showing would be very cool tbf
