"I might have two heads, or no head". Random thought, but A timelord character with no head would prove an interesting challenge for Big Finish to work around in an audio drama... That depends where he talks from 😉

I know Douglas Adams didn't know much about regeneration when he wrote Destiny of the Daleks, but it did introduce the concept of a Time Lord regenerating into something distinctly non-human looking. I think it's worth exploring with other Time Lords about regenerating into a form that isn't humanoid. One of the audios did this (regenerating into a humanoid-avian form), but it's a concept that's never been brought up again to my knowledge. The EDAs and Faction Paradox play around with this a bit more. You've got Time Lords as Lovecraftian creatures and monstrous forms designed to win the War.

Kris Marshall not the Doctor but maybe the companion? So, two possible self-indulgent 'funny' reactions here: 1) paranoid fan internet rant about how 'obviously' it's all a trick and really he's the Doctor after all and she's the companion and it's all a double-bluff to gain PUBLICITY from the POLITICALLY CORRECT GONE MAD Guardian-toting liberal etc etc etc 2) snide joke about respective salaries. Now, you may be wondering why I'm bothering to post something so crass, but as I was typing I did actually start to wonder - they wouldn't DARE do suggestion 1, would they? There'd be an absolute riot, surely? Wouldn't dare? It's a bit odd, though, isn't it? First they rumour him as the Doctor, then as the companion.

I was just thinking recently that since the series is shaking things up a bit, I wonder if having no companion for 13's first series would be interesting. It could give us time to get to know the new Doctor in a way we never have before. We so often see the Doctor through the point of view of the companion, I'm curious what a different approach would be like.

Based off the team Chibnall's "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship," I'm wondering if we might see a bigger cast of companions? More of an ensemble, with people from all different times and places. I had my problems with the episode, but I thought that was actually an interesting idea.

Some kind of galactic problem which causes the Doctor to pick up a slightly larger crew than normal. The only problem there would be juggling both this larger ensemble and whatever guest characters come along. It can be done, but in forty-five minute segments it might be a bit of a struggle. Personally, I'd like to see what can be done with two companions -- one from the past and one from the future.
