Don't know because it's an animation. But I've always wanted BBC 1 or 2 to do repeats. They do it with stuff like Death In Paradise and several other shows. Do one story for each Doctor maybe Something that equates from 90 to 100 minutes. 1st - An Unearthly Child, 2nd - Tomb Of The Cybermen, 3rd - Spearhead From Space, 4th - Pyramids Of Mars, 5th - The Caves Of Androzani, 6th - Revelation Of The Daleks, 7th - The Curse Of Fenric, 8th - The TV Movie, 9th - The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, 10th - Human Nature/The Family Of Blood, 11th - The Time Of Angels/Flesh And Stone, 12th - The Zygon Invasion/Inversion My choice: 1 - An Unearthly Child 2 - The Web of Fear 3 - The Three Doctors 4 - Genesis of the Daleks 5 - The Five Doctors 6 - The Two Doctors (not a lot of choice) 7 - Remembrance of the Daleks 8 - The Night of the Doctor 9 - Dalek 10 - Blink 11 - The Day of the Doctor 12 - World Enough And Time/The Doctor Falls I'd change it up slightly, partially to get some exposure to stories that aren't always talked about as much: 1 - The War Machines 2 - The Seeds of Death 3 - The Mind of Evil 4 - The Seeds of Doom OR Nightmare of Eden 5 - Kinda 6 - Attack of the Cybermen 7 - Ghost Light OR The Curse of Fenric 8 - Storm Warning (Give Big Finish some TV Airtime somehow)

Or are you just basing your choices from the ones you only own?

I'm surprised by the lukewarm reaction to this. I'm really pumped for it. Can't wait to find out more details.

I love the tale of Eden, but not many others do. Also, I know people will disagree but Big Finish will never be broadcast on BBC1 and nor will the animations.

Chibnall needs to adapt Shada as a TV episode for Series 11. Then we can get a novelization of that episode. Give us as many competing versions as possible. It's only fitting for a Douglas Adams story.

Hill's confirmed it on Twitter weeksago and seems to think its nfor a November release. Would be similar to Power's schedule last year. I'm not fussed frankly. The McGann audio, the McGann animation, the Levine animation, the Novelisation, the video with linking narration, the script-book - I'mm Shada-ed out. For a story that never was, I've experienced it more than just about any other real, existing story. I'm not Shada'd out but otherwise I agree

It's new Tom Baker and he's the most iconic Doctor. This is effectively like a missing 60s serial turning up, only its a serial from 1980.

Jesus now we've got so many competing versions I declare ALL OF THEM ARE CANON. Wonder if it will top the McGann version which I love. The only question is where to put it in the collection? Would it fit in right after The Horns of Nimon? We've already got a Shada there so would the VHS be shoved to the back of the collection? The McGann version won me over for the Eighth Doctor, if I remember correctly, but which beloved McGann version? The webcast or the extended Big Finish release on CD? I'm kind of amazed that given all the varying interpretations of Shada, we've only had two/three other stories that have used it as a setting.

VERY interesting. Do the rumours suggest a full animation or (even better IMO) a completed story part-animated around the existing footage? Or no clues yet? I like the Eighth Doctor BF audio very much, and the original video release with Tom Baker's linking sections, but a complete official version with the full Tom performance would be well worth having. That's my view, as well. The McGann version is enjoyable enough, but a version with Tom that felt like a properly complete experience would be very welcomed by me, and has been something I've been hoping for ever since Tom started doing Big Finish (albeit I only imagined as far as a new audio version starring Tom and company). Especially as this was always meant to be Tom's story, so him having a chance to complete his part in it feels not just a justified reason for doing it again, but indeed only proper. Looking forward to it.

I think Shada's had more adaptations than any other of Adams' works now, it does feel a bit unnecessary. Having Tom actually involved does give this at least some interest for me, but not really enough to actually invest in it, assuming this is a DVD release. Still if it's successful maybe they'll consider more animations?

I think it's somewhat suspect, though, that we're seeing a lot of promotion for the show and the tie-in stuff featuring - apart from Capaldi - mainly Tennant and T. Baker.

I find it odd because there's just about as much promotion for them two in total as there is for Capaldi..

I'll be looking forward to hearing Baker perform this script. I'm sure the home video sales will be good for the Baker/Adams combo, which will help maintain interest in animating future lost stories, which I'm all for.
