Best advice ever, just go to Facebook aand click DELETE ACCOUNT. You won't miss it one bit. I don't know about ever, but it is the best advice I've seen on here in a long while!

With Graham as the main companion and the others as regulars, I'm hoping we see less of the SPECIAL SUPER COMPANION! Or none of it actually.

I don't think I'm brave enough to read the reaction, the comments there are terrible on a average day anyway, most of the 'fans' (who are often grown adults) who post there seem to spend all their time arguing about who was better Tennant, Tennant or Tennant, blaming Moffat for everything possible short of Global Warming/WW2, threatening each other over who loves a children's show more, posting pictures of their Who themed socks, asking ''When is this on TV?'' to every Big Finish announcement (despite the posts clearly stating it's an audio drama and linking to BF's website...) or moaning that the 'series isn't as good as it used to be' when they only watched it for the 10/Rose romance nonsense Best advice ever, just go to Facebook aand click DELETE ACCOUNT. You won't miss it one bit. I am finding myself less and less drawn to facebook. It really serves no purpose.

Hey could someone change the name of the thread to And the new companions are? Please?

But do we know for a fact they will all be companions? Isn't only Bradley been confirmed as an actual companion?

But do we know for a fact they will all be companions? Isn't only Bradley been confirmed as an actual companion? It just says that the three of them are the Doctor’s “new friends”. I don’t think anything has referred to Bradley as anything more than the others. If anything, I’m worried that the other two will be the main companions and Bradley is just a recurring character.

While I will more than likely be proved wrong, am I the only one having a Suzie Costello moment here with that cast?

Here, here, now - this isn't bloody Torchwood. :-) At the moment I'm having more of a Three/Ten Earthbound moment because The Doctor has four new friends and they're all from Earth... I really don't know what's happened to this show's ethnic diversity with all these Earthlings... You kids will never believe this but back in my day, we had a Trakenite, a Trionite, and an Alzarian - all with the same Doctor! ;-)

What's next in the PR bandwagon? Gotta be costume reveal, surely?

'Heather' only made her a SUPER-SPECIAL-being after Bill had had her chips...

'Heather' only made her a SUPER-SPECIAL-being after Bill had had her chips... That's rather my point - we've just had exactly what Charles is asking for but to read his post it's like it never happened. Even Clara, she was only The Impossible Girl because she'd already travelled with The Doctor in the future and been splintered. She wasn't born "SUPER SPECIAL" as said above until then, just as Bill wasn't until made something new by her Puddly Pal. They became something else after travelling with The Doctor and, well, I think that's quite a lovely notion. I think a bit like the "it's a soap opera" complaint, the "companions are always too special" one is far more a valid criticism of the RTD era than the Moffat one. And even then, I don't particularly agree either is as much of an issue as some do.

The scene at the end where Sarah describes all the people she has tracked down who she thinks were former companions - and all the wonderful things they've gone on to do, helping people across the world. Travelling with the Doctor has made all of them 'special' in the way that normal human beings can be very special; it's a beautiful scene and I wish it had been in the main series.

Reminds me of that lovely, underrated, scene in Series 10 where Bill asks the Doctor why he puts up with all the humans that clearly just annoy him, and he says he does it to meet the very few that are like her.

Travelling with the Doctor has made all of them 'special' in the way that normal human beings can be very special; it's a beautiful scene and I wish it had been in the main series. That kind of special I really like. Special as in, there are 36 versions of the same companion and you can tell one of them is an alien assassin because space flames are shooting out their eyes and what the hell they're all going to get Cyberized in the end anyway, is the sort of special that's probably a bit strong for my tastes. That has to be one of the big things that helped make the past season so extraordinary for me is that it felt like the first time in a long time that the companions were generally allowed to just be themselves instead of having to be the major focal point of the show and it gave us the opportunity to like them for who they were... and I really liked them! It still feels a bit to me like the show had gone from being excessively Amy-centric straight to excessively Clara-centric and I think the net result has been that I miss both of those companions, but hardly as much as I should. (I'd buy an Amy & Rory series from Big Finish in a heartbeat, though - it could be All About Amy if it's her own series, lol - Clara too). Actually, I'm optimistic in that respect - the Doctor's new friends look like a fun and interesting bunch, and one of the things that really helped temper the Amy-centricity level for me was just having Rory around, just having someone else for the show to be about. Seems like lots of good possibilities here for the show not becoming all about one companion. ...Even if I did just abandon all hope of a trip to Gallifrey this season... :-)

Perhaps I could have been clearer But having something happen to you after travelling with the Doctor is the sort of Special we need.

Leaked picture of Bradley Walsh as Graham, which also confirms Martha is back? Or, y'know....it might just be a screenshot from the Law & Order I'm watching just now but a fella can dream.
