So while we wait to learn about Chris' writing staff, let's turn our attention to BF.
Who are some writers (novels, comics, radio/podcasts, webseries) that you'd love to see do an audio? Can't be anyone who's already written for the franchise, and also within BF's price range.

I'm really surprised in this day and age that we haven't gotten some kind of tale from J. Michael Straczynski. A short story or whatever.
Something by Harlan Ellison would be amazing.

Hello again.
Top of my list? Debbie Moon, creator of Wolfblood.
Patrick Ness, author of A Monster Calls and Class.
Cressida Cowell, one of the funniest author's out there.
Finally, Eoin Colfer, Dr Who meets 12 year old criminal child genius Artemis Fowl? Yes please Mr Briggs...

I hear Steven Moffat might have some free time coming up.
Also, has Ben Aaronovitch ever written for them? If not, he should. Provided it doesn't interfere with Rivers of London.

I knew he'd done something. Just tracked it down: www.bigfinish.com/releases/v/earth-aid-435As well as the out of print Bernice Summerfield book Genius Loci

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

R. A. MacAvoy is a brilliant novelist who writes great dialogue and is great at creating mysterious characters with a hint of the otherworldly. I think she'd be right up BF's alley, especially for something like McCoy-era Who or Graceless.

Her novels are surprisingly Who-like in some respects (to the point that Five cameos in one of her first Trek stories asking the way to Heathrow).

I hear Steven Moffat might have some free time coming up. I really hope that Big Finish can work with Steven Moffat even if it is only in a consulting capacity. Plus I still have my fingers crossed that we will get The Paternoster Gang audio series....his not allowing Big Finish to use that team in the past was because he wanted to Executive Produce that series on audio in the future!

I'd like to see both Steven Moffat and Russell T. Davies contribute a story to Big Finish. I think both writers are capable of some truly bar-setting Doctor Who stories and it'd be a shame if we never see them dabble in this universe again (though, there is that poetry book that Davies recently wrote, so...).
I also hope Neil Gaiman takes a shot at Big Finish as well, especially if Capaldi ever decides to join Big Finish. Gaiman did miss his chance to write for a "grumpy, Scottish Doctor" the first time 'round, after all.

I’d pass on colfer, he wrote a first doctor short story back In 2013 and it was absolutely Terrible. Personally, I’d love to see Grant Morrison have another go, his comics back in the day were great.

RTD said in a few interviews he had lots of the events of the time war worked out already, and I'm sure both he and Moffat have a few un-produced storylines knocking around on their computers somewhere (I'd love to see either of them writer for the 8th Doctor time war series) , maybe BF could bring back the Lost Stories range for New Who/Torchwood...

George Mann Kate Orman+Jonathan Blum (said it before but their 8th Doctor novels were all fantastic, I'd certainly be keen to see them write for McGann on audio)
