I wonder if Jon Pertwee would have agreed to return for The Day of the Doctor had he still been alive? Jon would have been in his mid-90's when The Day of the Doctor was made... but I'm sure he'd have felt left out if he wasn't involved! They could have had more than one curator perhaps.

He would have at least shown up in the Five Ish Doctors Reboot, I'm sure. (I often get sad when I think about how keen Pertwee probably would have been to do Big Finish. Just a few years too late...)

Especially seeing as how good on audio he was. Yes even in those BBC Doctor Who stories, but I am thinking more about The Navy Lark.

I too am so excited for this to be released!
It feels like Tim Treloar improves on his already excellent performance with every release. I cannot wait for the passionate and moral crusading Third Doctor to butt heads with the slippery, morally flexible Monk.

It’s Marc Platt he’s usually good with the Cybermen As I just commented on Gallifrey Base, he's got Spare Parts and The Silver Turk under his Cyberbelt, so his track record is pretty good. I have high hopes for this, unlike what I had for Conquest of Far in the previous set.

Listened to the first episode of Rise of the New Humans on the walk into work - glorious Spring sunshine and pure vintage Third Doctor storytelling was a very nice start to the day!
The atmosphere was spot-on and so evocative of the era. The body horror aspects that were cropping up in horror films of the 1970s make it prime Doctor Who stomping ground too. An intriguing and very enjoyable start to a story and I can't wait to listen to the rest later.

The amount of time this is taking to download indicates to me it is a very popular release. I'm glad about that, but I wish it would hurry up!

I feel like the Monk is going to add some spice to the proceedings too. So far, I find it pitch perfect and look forward to the rest of it! eta: Tim T is so good as 3, I hadn’t heard him since the first set and he’s grown so much since then. Remarkable.

SPOILERS (because I've heard it) Well this a very good Boxset with good opening story but an excellent second one is excellent. Rise of the New Humans {Spoiler} Now the reveal is brilliant kind of "oh no I've got it wrong its you not him, I wish it was him"!. however the thing about the Monk is his weasely so the moral blackmail argument doesn't provoke he's evil but there's a level of respect due in his point. And overall regarding his treatment of Companions only provokes in me the response "Kill the little Rat"!
Tyrants of Logic This is brilliant twists and turns excellent performances all round the fully-fledged full-cast 3rd Doc vs Cybermen story I personally at least have been waiting for. Regards mark687
