This is actually my favourite Doctor Who logo ever. Wow. And the sound that went with the reveal sounds suitably radiophonic and eerie. I hope that the new music is in a similar style.

Not gonna lie, if I’d never seen Doctor Who before and saw the new logo, it’d turn me off watching the show.

I guess not everyone is going to like it, but a logo would actually turn you off from watching a show? Wow! It would definitely discourage me. The branding sets the whole tone for the show, so if it gives Of vibes that aren’t to my taste I’ll be less likely to watch it. Doesn’t mean that if I watch a trailer and think it looks alright or if someone recommends it that I would refuse to give it a go.

Well, since everyone and their granny will be able to watch the eventual trailers I'm not sure anyone will be forced to decide whether to watch based on the logo alone. Between YT, social media and TV trailers the logo will be the last thing that they're hoping to lasso any casual fans with.

A logo is just about the last thing I would use to judge, well, pretty much anything.

The Hans Zimmer thing came from a poster on GB who speculated from Chibbers' words on DWM that he'd been recruiting the best in the industry, it was possible he had gotten an A-list composer to rearrange the theme, and used Hans Zimmer as an example, then everyone was talking about Zimmer, then, as it always happens, someone put it on twitter. At least this time it wasn't a tabloid that picked it up. There's a difference between rumour/spoiler and speculation that some people don't seem to notice.
Now, I speculate, after tonight's reveal, that the new arrangement of the theme will be made by Matthew Herbert, creative director of the new Radiophonic Workshop, and having listened to their latest work (Burials in Several Earths and Everything You Can Imagine Is Real), and that makes me incredibly giddy! Probably not the soundtrack, though.

I love it. Very distinct, VERY different. All the promise of time and space and the unknown, not just a fun sci-fi logo, but still very accessible.

With the theme, it really seems that Chibnall is going back to basics and I have a feeling that when we get back to the mythology, it's going to be pushed into some very NEW places.

I don't care who the composer is as long as the theme is recognisable as the Doctor Who theme! Is Keff McCulloch available? Is that version not popular? It's one of my favourites

I love it - it looks sophisticated and cinematic which I'm hoping Series 11 will be.
In the back of my mind I'm almost wondering if the opening titles will be ditched. Certainly this logo won't lend itself well to being featured at the end of a bombastic, fast paced and brightly coloured opening sequence like all of the modern Doctors have had. It looks deliberately understated as if it will be overlaid directly onto a scene or image, or perhaps we'll just have a title card like Children of Earth did. Definitely a move I would welcome if it contributed to a more sophisticated/cinematic vibe.

Ok.. I saw it around 6:30am this morning.. its 6:15pm.. I know of 1 person who was "triggered shift3 2018 style".. Just plain doesn't like it.. I asked him "Is it because the H in Who is not symmetrical/in line with the other letters?" His response.. "amongst other things"... I.......... I just left it then and there.. MAHA Classick , I was not expecting that!

Three of my faves on a similiar "What if?" The Vangelis one is very hypnotic, but the John Carpenter version's got to be my favourite. By a narrow thread. Four minutes of gently psyching up the audience for the film, you have to wonder what it would've looked like... Nice promise of some serious otherworldliness in the logo. Looking good.

So rather than start a new thread, now that we have a new logo. What is everbodies most & least favourite Dr Who logo? This is my least favourite, horrible! Looks like the logo for a cheesy cartoon.
