I love it - it looks sophisticated and cinematic which I'm hoping Series 11 will be. In the back of my mind I'm almost wondering if the opening titles will be ditched. Certainly this logo won't lend itself well to being featured at the end of a bombastic, fast paced and brightly coloured opening sequence like all of the modern Doctors have had. It looks deliberately understated as if it will be overlaid directly onto a scene or image, or perhaps we'll just have a title card like Children of Earth did. Definitely a move I would welcome if it contributed to a more sophisticated/cinematic vibe. Why not just have a really cinematic title sequence like the TV Movie? I'd love to see that actually

Have I missed t-shirts becoming really expensive? When did £17.99 become a standard price? Standard T-Shirts can be bought a lot cheaper, a fiver in Primark, but licenced merch is always more expensive so £17.99 is about average for such clothing. What I don't get is Asda George charge £10 for licensed t-shirts, and Primark charge between £8 and £10. So how can Forbidden Planet charge £17.99? Also: their site doesn't really make it clear if their t-shirts are unisex, or men's/women's clothing. I can see many being put off buying that t-shirt if it is unisex because there's only a picture of a woman wearing it and not also a man.

I'm not 12 years old anymore so it's a little tight. Yeah, my t-shirts shrink in the wash too!

Just had to google what his last contribution was and god now I wish I hadn't. OMG why did i know nothing of this....... wow it utterly terrible......but brilliant at the same time......how the hell did he get real pop stars from the time to do it...... this has blown my mind...... OK give us a clue here, my Googling of Hans Zimmer came up with nothing unexpected/strange/wow inducing

I like this new logo, I think I prefer it to the other new series ones. The 'diamond' logo' is my favourite though, because apart from looking great and unlike anything else, it ushered in Doctor Who every Saturday when I was a young 'un. Least favourite? Sorry to say it must be the 'McCoy' one. Shame, because the title sequence is otherwise brilliant. Fourth Doctor covers are the only Big Finish ones I turn around i.e. use the alternative. It is a shame that Big Finish couldn’t continue to use the Bronze McGann logo, because I loved that version. And the Eighth Doctor on audio deserves his own unique logo. As for the new series my favourite logo is still the first Matt Smith logo that incorporated the Tardis in the middle. The Tardis is at the centre of Doctor Who! Plus I liked the way they could use the DW Tardis icon separately. (I am sure I have seen a variation on that somewhere recently...)

Oh, and I so wish we got something like this for A Town Called Mercy. Oh, THIS, yes, love it, so should have been the theme for " A Town Called Mercy".

I guess not everyone is going to like it, but a logo would actually turn you off from watching a show? Wow! It would definitely discourage me. The branding sets the whole tone for the show, so if it gives Of vibes that aren’t to my taste I’ll be less likely to watch it. Doesn’t mean that if I watch a trailer and think it looks alright or if someone recommends it that I would refuse to give it a go. I kind of agree, with everyone saying how much they love the new logo I was wondering if I'm odd or something, to me the logo seems very pedestrian and whilst it wouldn't male me not want to watch the show, it certainly doesn't have any attraction to me, I would quite possibly miss the show because I didn't really notice it.

You don't like the new logo but you do like Doctor in Distress! Admit it, you are really Ian Levine lol

I like it and I wasn't going to anything but the official DW FB Page actually highlights that the H and O now kind of look like a Female Gender Symbol why just to incite "passionate" debate?
EDIT
If the streak had been visible though the words I'd call it coincidence but it hits the D, disappears and reappears slightly altering the H and the O

Regards mark687 I don't think it's really important, or even intentional. It's not like the female gender symbol is prominent unless you look closely and see something which may be it.

Yeah, I had to look for it, and even then it didn't show up strongly for me. I think its in the same vein as all triangle are proof of illuminant, i.e. only there because you really want to see it.

Yes, it is very easy to read into things stuff that isn't there. But I guess that's fandom! For example, we have the TARDIS in the background & the Doctor in the foreground looking the other way. She can't see it! Proof that this season will be about the Doctor searching for the TARDIS.

I've already seen it, and I still doubt it is intentional.
