Two, 2 part stories is really appealing to me. I think the series trying to do the sprawling four part epics with such a limited cast is the downfall of the range. I would groan at the returning elements, but I love the Wirrn and I love The Mind of Evil, so I’m not too fussed!

That’s fine by me, thanks for the correction!

Interesting mix. I like the sound of the format, as I preferred the more standalone style of Encounters to the epic of Cyber-Reality.

Revisitations. Phew. I first read it as Revelations and sighed. I thought it was going to continue building the drama between UNIT and The Auctioneers, which would culminate in UNIT 8.
Could someone explain the episode structure and returnees to me? The sentences are too long, with too much information each.
Also, please tell me that my fears from the first paragraph are wrong...

First two episodes are a two-parter featuring the Wirrn, third seems to be a standalone and fourth is another standalone featuring the return of a character from The Mind of Evil. What's your fears from the first paragraph?

Honestly.... “Wirrn Trouble”. How hard is it to have that as a title?

Honestly.... “Wirrn Trouble”. How hard is it to have that as a title? Wirrn too deep to change it now! Mind you, there's Noah way to top that title. Nerva. Unless there's time travel involved, this would be the earliest time period Wirrn would be encountered, based on known accounts. All the other Wirrn stories take place a long time in mankind's future, after the solar flares.

Wirrn agony about it not happening! Also, it's the first time in the UNIT sets that two stories share the same title, unless there's another title to be revealed. Warren Brown must have been away filming something, Sam isn't mentioned anywhere.

'(For everyone missing Warren Brown as Sam Bishop, you can catch him in August’s box set, Lady Christina, opposite Michelle Ryan as Lady Christina de Souza).'

Are we thinking after the next two boxsets they will finally start having storys set after death in heaven? I imagine they had already planned theses four boxsets before they got the 12th Doctor licence but theres no reason not too progress further along now?

Very excited about this! I was expecting news on the teased 3rd Doctor/Jo recording for this set (but clearly that was for something else...), so this news came from nowhere for me! Love the Wirrn (the cover looks amazing!), and I love returning characters so I'm sure that The Mind of Evil sequel is going to be great too!

I think it was last week that I was wondering when Big Finish would be bringing back the Wirrn.

I was really really hoping this would be the 3rd Doctor/UNIT box set I've been waiting for.
