That's a great line-up of writers! Steve Jordan is a new name on me, and Alan Flanagan has written terrific stories for the Dark Shadows range. Andy Lane was writing for the New Adventures back when they were novels and one of them was the debut of Chris and Roz, so we're in for a treat from writers old and new to the characters. A bit disappointing we won't be getting fuller length stories, but this is still going to be crukking brilliant. Looking at Steve Jordan's blog he announced being involved with Big Finish about a month ago, but didn't reveal any details. ( link) Based on the blog he's a theater director as well, so that's another source of fresh talent for Big Finish to employ. There are a lot of new names in this cast list, so maybe that's happening already.

Ah, beat me by a minute. I shouldn't try to mess with pros haha.
PS: Should I delete my thread or do I leave that to the mods?

You can delete it- that's fine.

Glad to see the NA Seventh Doctor, Chris and Roz getting taken out for another spin. With The Iron Legion/Star Beast upcoming and this, we're going to be rather spoiled for choice.

I was looking forward to these but the one hour running times are making me feel cautious. I don’t want these to feel rushed.

Very excited by these, especially by the "Volume One" on the cover, but I guess that's dependent on sales. More excited by these than the comic strip adaptations actually, but that probably reflects more on my age and when I grew up tan anything else.
Slightly surprised that only one NA writer is contributing, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Is it to soon to get my hopes up for a revival of the novel adaptations?

Ooh I do hope that they’ll use that excellent version of the theme that’s only appeared in the Sylvester Novel Adaptations.
I really liked Roz and Cwej in the NAs and was a bit resigned to their never appearing again with the end of that range, so I’m very, very pleased to see they’re back after all!

One of the New Adventures writers I'd love to see come back for one of these stories is Matt Jones, who had an excellent handle on Chris and the Doctor in Bad Therapy. A new Kate Orman script for this team would be as awesome for us as it would be torturous for the Doctor. As for a Novel Adaptation revival, the comic strip adaptations may be a factor.

Great stuff. Love this TARDIS team and happy that they’re being given some new content. I’m surprised at the one hour story format; I was expecting an epic or two 2 part stories.
What a string of Seventh Doctor material in the last quarter of the year!

Some Short Trips as well would be great. I’d be on board for that too, for sure! We've gotten Short Trips with Big Finish created companions like Liv and Mrs Clarke. It's not outside the realms of possibility (which certainly a location the TARDIS can reach, and would make a great story setting).

These aren’t Big Finish-created characters.

These aren’t Big Finish-created characters. Chris and Roz were created for spin-off media, specifically the novels, rather than in the TV show. That’s also true of Liv and Constance, who were created for the audios within the last ten years. A vast majority of the Short Trips audios are with characters from the Classic series. If the monthly Companion Chronicles were still around, one with Chris and Roz would have been the best.

I hope that when these come out, someone creates mock-up novel covers for all fourvof these stories. With the exception of The Jabari Countdown, I can imagine them all as Virgin New Adventures titles. (I say exception because there were only two non-English titles - and both were single words - Zamper and Lungbarrow. Not counting Timewyrm or Genesys because time, worm and genesis tell you everything you need to know - lung and barrow, not so much.)
Also! I hope we do at least get a Volume 2 on this! And maybe an eventual adaptation of So Vile A Sin to cap it off!

Brilliant. I was hoping we'd get more Cwej and Roz. (Fingers crossed for an Eighth Doctor boxset featuring more Fitz or Izzy.)
