Sheffield indeed, and the 1960's streets-in-the-sky concept a.k.a Park Hill Flats. There is a good urban explorer vid on Youtube if anyone wants to check them out in their abandoned state, with nature slowly but surely winning out. m.youtube.com/watch?v=-3NdmPIhTRs

So. 2 people have already voted it one star. Didn't think people here were quite that pathetic. Sad to be proved wrong. Bit pathetic, ain't it.

I'm insanely excited. I'm on record as a Capaldi fanboy - and I still absolutely adore Steven Moffat's writing by and large - yet the prospect of a new era is so alluring. I can't wait to get to know the new cast and start the new chapter. Life depends on change, and renewal.

No idea what to expect. Haven't touched any reviews. Just hoping it's good.
(And really, two one stars already? Thought this forum was better than that)

Guys, I get there's fun in sport and jest, but please, considering how touchy this topic has been, let's just not go there this time.
And to the two members who voted one star pre-broadcast, kindly read the forum rules again and have the common manners and decency to respect Jason's wishes.
Couldn't the poll had gone up tomorrow? It’s up, so we are where we are. The mods can see who voted and I’m sure it will be noted. Maybe they’ll think again and do others the courtesy of unvoting until they’ve seen it!

For the Aussie fans...
was sitting in front of the TV set There weren't nothin' much else to do. Then along came this amazing co, They called him Doctor Who. It was half past six on the ABC, just before the news No ads to interrupt me on an interspacial cruise.
There was moving metal madness, All programmed to destroy The Doctor has them covered, To thwart their every ploy. Exterminate! Exterminate! That evil monotone The Doctor fights the Daleks, anon and all alone.
Doctor Who is gonna fix it Doctor Who will put it right As he moves across the galaxy, at twice the speed of light. Back into the future, the TARDIS travels time With his beautiful assistant and his trusty mate K-9
A painted blue policeman's booth, But when inside the doors, A vast interior complex Defies dimensional laws. His robot dog is by his side, he packs a powerful punch And he always has the answers when it comes down to the crunch.
The threats of time and outer space, He'll always keeps in line. He'll put the nasties in their place, Throughout the realms of time. The why and where of how and when, the facts beyond and through The what and if and maybe will depend on Doctor Who.
A little reminder that Who is back where it belongs.

Who are the tweezers who already voted 1 Star? maybe it's a good idea in the interests of not starting arguments etc to not go down that avenue. People have their own opinions and even if you don't agree with them, we do have to at least respect them.

I have to allow them to air their opinion, that is the price of a free society. but respect it or allow it to go uncommented Upon? No.

The episode hasn't even been aired yet so someone giving their opinion on it's merits - good or bad - can't possibly be "respected". When the episode comes out I'd agree with you but now? It's trolling pure and simple. Why should we respect that?

With all possible respect aussie, I usually defer to the wisdom of the mods, but this is flagrantly against the forum rules. This isn't an expression of a different opinion (because the episode hasn't aired yet, so we don't know if it's good or bad), this is clearly an effort to upset members and cause trouble.

I can see both sides as it is more trolling that a valid opinion but id argue that its a waste of time and breath to call them out on it and so i think it would be best to leave it alone like aussie said as they have said their peace and dont want to say anything more. Instead why dont we talk about hoW ITS LESS THAN EIGHT HOURS AWAY!!!!....sorry for the caps, my phone momentarily got possessed by michael, normal service has resumed.

That's all well and good I agree with you there, but where does it end if everyone just gangs up and throws their own opinions down on how they feel they are wrong. It goes both ways, truly best to just ignore, let the episode speak for itself in 9(?) hours time . No use wasting energy if you are not going to be able to change their opinions.

How disastrous is that for housing, even with a huge refit and rebuild only 25 years ago, these only got to the age of 50. Housing is supposed to last 100 years or more.

People have their own opinions and even if you don't agree with them, we do have to at least respect them. Nope, I don't respect people who judge things before watching them and are falling over themselves with their hate to get their one star vote registered a day before an episode has aired! Free speech is fine, and people can watch tonight's episode and think it only rates as one star, but those two votes a day in advance just make the point of a poll useless and are opinions based on nothing, as they haven't seen the episode yet. Respect? Nah, I've nothing but contempt for them.

I just want to chime in here a little, I would really rather not have had a live poll until after the show aired. I know I won't vote until two things happen: first I have to see the episode, then I'll need some time to think about it, before I feel I rate a vote. Still - I think there are some peoples out there that are pre-disposed to not liking the show no matter how good or bad it turns out to be and their low votes aren't going to change.
Now, I do think I'd rather have had a 10 star poll instead of five, but that's just a niggle.
