Received a direct Personal Threat on my life just over 2 hours ago (seriously). Immediate internal workplace escalation, my Executive Manager immediately kicked into high gear. I messaged wife as she is home with Junior today. NOT made..  UPDATE:
It happened AGAIN today. This "human" called in and immediately was verbally aggressive- he rang a different area and spoke to 2 young women colleague's- the 1st one took it in her stride and reported him. The 2nd, she is a newbie and this was her 1st "incident" he elaborated R rated. She turned pale and started shaking- she was put into a spare room for 15 minutes to recuperate. I then get 3 Team's messages from people who could hear it all. 1 of the Managers downstairs immediately escalated to the Big Boss . 2 incidents in 8 days- shows intent. I really hope the Police book gets thrown at him. According to Policy I am (and now the 2 others) are entitled to 1-2 Counseling Sessions..
5th death threat in 19 years. You always have to assume they say what they mean and mean what they say.
And presumably the caller knows it gets treated as a Crime Multiple offences in a week will also presumably earn them the maximum punishment? Regards mark687 |

The day we moved into our house, the place was empty over 1 year . We had 7 redback spiders In the house. These things will kill you if bitten. That was a Fun Day. My deceased friend's daughter figured out how to contact me via Whatsapp, so I woke up to a wall of Hebrew texts from her.  It was good to get in touch. The last time I saw her she was a young girl. She is requesting memories of her mom and photos for a memory book for a memorial service next month. Two days ago I learned that a good friend of mine died in Israel. We weren't that great at staying in touch (but when we got together we picked up where we left off!), so I didn't think too much of it when I hadn't heard from her in a very long time. Turns out she died a year ago, but her daughters didn't have my contact information. One of the daughters found the phone number of a mutual friend in Israel and the mutual friend let me know. I feel sad that I won't be able to see or communicate with my friend again. I don't even have many pictures of her but I have lots of memories. |

Been doing some browsing of usernames that used to be active years ago, but aren't now.
Noticed that barnabaslives was last online in May 2022. They were talking about being seriously ill, having nights in hospital and saying doctors were being ominous. Then they suddenly went quiet. Has anybody heard anything from them since then?

I was just reminded by 1 of my USA mates that their next Election is in November.. wow. Fingers crossed it goes relatively smoothly. I, for one, am hoping that Trump does not get re-elected. I just watched the President's first speech of the campaign from Pennsylvania today. Extremely good imo, keeping my fingers crossed for all of you and for the ROTW too.
(And I say that as someone who back in the 80s/90s would certainly have been a Republican if my vote had been transferrable across the Atlantic. Not now, no chance.) |

I had a lovely birthday yesterday. Brunch with my sisters and their spouses and then dinner at home with the kids. Evan has turned into quite a chef and he made potato gnocci from scratch with home made vodka cream sauce, pan fried chicken thighs and roasted broccoli. It was delicious. And there were lots of good wished from friends. It was a snowy day and it all just seemed so mellow.

LOLZ.. Yeah we had to teach Junior at a real early age if he sees a spider inside/outside to yell for 1 of us. It's not fun when you are in the shower and you see a baby redback sliding down it's web like Spider-Man in front of you. Happened to me I was trapped! I had to yell for Mrs AussieDoctorWhoFan to get something to dispose of it - their bites can and will kill you depending. Nope!. ( This was the week we moved in here over 4 years ago- we ruffled all the spiders as they had the house for 1-2 years before we bought it).. NOPE ! |

The CEO is on A/L so the CEO In Charge sent me an email and People & Culture/H.R. . I pushed the point in my email at 6:50am. Received X 2 confirmation/acknowledgements of emails from them 2 confirming we are going to have a meeting today. I warned them when this happened 2 weeks ago. I literally said "January 2024 will be a date that will be remembered in my Department. I will be a walking disaster waiting for a place to occur if my life is threatened." |
