I was surprised and pleased to learn that some political pundits reactions to Biden's performance weren't really negative, and that they did call out Trump for lying lying and lying.
That said, I doubt the debate will change anyone's mind.

And just like that everyone has forgotten the debate because the Supreme Court couldn't go a month without showing us how evil they are.
The latest Chevron ruling fills me with more fear than anything as it will not be an easy fix.

Has a great time kajaking with my diving club yesterday. Fantastic hot summer weather, and paddling along the overgrown mystical local river. Afterwards, we had a great tasty BBQ at the river shore. Today, my arms are pretty sore, but hey, it was worth it.

I've been reading up on it and even I don't think I understand it. It's HUGE.

The last few weeks have had me feeling like I'm on a rollercoaster and I have had absolutely no time to properly get on the forum. This is going to be a fairly long post so I apologize in advance.
My trip home from the UK 2 weeks ago was miserable. I was flying home on Saturday afternoon, but I woke up that morning feeling sick. Painful stomach cramps and all that goes with them (I will NOT elaborate). I left in an Uber from my friend's flat in southeast London hoping that I would be able to make the 1 1/2 hour ride to Heathrow without desperately needing a bathroom. (It really shouldn't take that long to go 23 miles but that's a whole other post.)I did make it, thankfully, and was even feeling a little hungry by the time I got through security. I tried a few sips of non-citrus juice (still couldn't really think about eating) which just set off another round of cramps in the airport. So feeling weak and terrible, I bought myself a scone (least offensive thing I could find) sat at the gate and then on the airplane nibbling on that as able and sleeping. I made it to Washington-Dulles airport around 8 pm local time. I had to go through security, retrieve my checked case, then recheck it for my connecting flight to Newark which was supposed to leave at 10:25 pm. I bought myself a grilled chicken sandwich, since by then I was pretty hungry, and got to the gate only to find out that it was delayed until 1:00 am. I ate half that sandwich but that was all I could stand. Jump ahead, we didn't leave Dulles until 3:45 am. That was almost 8 hours sitting at the worst airport that I have been to in the US. I finally got home at 6 am Eastern Time on Sunday. If you're counting, that was 23 hours of travelling while sick with GI distress. It was a nightmare.
Thankfully I had Sunday to recuperate and get ready for my first 12 hour day of the week on Monday. I slept about 5 hours when I got home and thankfully my stomach was feeling better. On Monday morning I got to work at 8 am, pulled out my laptop and it just died. Completely. While trying to get the woman at corporate to understand that I needed a new computer tomorrow, not by the end of the next week, one of the major pieces of equipment in my clinic broke. Again. For the third time in a month and a half. (Again, another post. I've been trying to get it replaced.) So, in order to get what I needed I had to drive the hour there and back to corporate on Wednesday, my short day, on my time.
Then last Sunday, I sat at our company table at a street fair from 7:30 am when we set up till 4 pm when we left. It was 97F/36C with high humidity and I think I got heat stroke. Never doing that again.
With all this going on I was still dealing with having to help my son find a place to go to school in the fall. He came home last weekend, his 21st birthday was last Sunday (yes, and I was sitting at a street fair all day). He left to go to LA on Wednesday to stay with his cousin for a week. This trip was planned before his school shut down, but now he planned on looking at a couple of schools out there. So he did and loved one of them. They say they will accept all of his credits from UArts and allow him to graduate on time. So right now our top choices are between a school in Maryland (MICA), about 3 1/2 hours from home, or across the country in LA. I think he's leaning toward LA and while it's probably better for him in the long run it's an idea that I have to get used to. I knew he'd be there eventually, but this is a lot sooner than expected. Oh yeah, and my washing machine died this week as well.
So this weekend was all about rest. To just sit home and take care of myself and my apartment. I mean, I only finished unpacking yesterday! That's how crazy I've been. Whoo, I'm exhausted just writing this.

Oh, and also over the last 2 weeks I was first told that I was to be interviewing Colin Baker at LI Who (whoo!!!!!!!) and then told that no, I won't be. He's contracted for only 2 interviews and they were already scheduled.

Holy crap, just reading through that put me on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, I can only imagine what it must be like for you. How disappointing! But I suppose it makes sense that he wouldn't be wanting to do many interviews. What would you have asked him, had the interview not fallen through?

It would have been an interview about his time and history with Big Finish. One of the questions would have been to ask him if he is banking audio recordings the way Tom Baker has. And talking about Sixie's character journey with BF.
