I might have said this before I almost wonder whether the unstoppable force that the Master(s) are trying to stop is in fact the fallout of the paradoxes that have occurred by the Milo Parker incarnation of the Master being completely horrified at what the future holds for him subconsciously rejecting his embracing evil and ultimately threatening the existence of his incarnations going forward. In a way they have engineered their own destruction and now must fight for their continued existence as their own personal history changes. The Gatiss Master, of course, not being affected by such temporal changes as he originates from another universe entirely. It’s perhaps a very obvious route to take for such a story but a possibility none the less. Could even say that’s why the likes of Dreyfus Master is not in the piece or any of his other incarnations. They’ve already ceased to exist as it were. That was not obvious to me! But I really like the idea. It would explain why they have a completely new incarnation involved. I was expecting the Milo Master to have shown up in something else during this year, so seeing as he hasn’t, that would support this idea. Thank you. Thought it was an interesting idea at least. Would also I think showcase The Master’s sheet arrogance as well. None of this would ever have happened if they hadn’t snatched their youngest (and arguably most vulnerable) incarnation out of his timestream and given him a glimpse at the monster he would later become.

Considering the shape shifting Kamelion is established to be a part of this tale, I wonder what cameos we will get through him? Aside from of course, the Ainley Master.

A Delgado impression is pretty much a certainty, I'd think. Without him it's not Masterful, it's just Masterish.

I like to think Delgado Master was invited to this little get together but declined as he has better things to do then get all self indulgent.
That or the invitation got lost in the Time Vortex.

Admittedly, I wasn’t expecting that. Puts the whole story in a whole new different light in my eyes. Will be curious to see how it all unfolds.

Oh. My reaction is: eh.....
I know many other people liked it, but I found that story to be... pretty bad, actually--sort of indicative of the Big Finish's worst inclinations. I was about to say, 'maybe their role in Masterful will be redemptive,' but I don't think I had any actual issue with the character exactly (not that I can recall, at least) but rather how they were used in the story.
So... I guess my excitement is, perhaps, one or two degrees cooler. Still very, very excited, though.

The story w/ the same name as the character. I think it's the first episode in {Spoiler}Missy's second boxset.
