I’m not a big fan of the regular cover; there’s just something off with it that I can’t put my finger on. I love the limited edition one, though. I’m curious how they’ll handle the Ainley Master, as I’m guessing he’ll have a substantial presence in Masterful. I’ve read that Jon Culshaw did a good impression on The Five Doctors reading? I’m sure the Delgado Master will have some presence in Masterful, most likely a few fleeting lines, whether they be from a recast or archival. He’ll have his own time to shine in the audiobook, though, which I’m assuming is why he dominates the limited edition cover; I love that pic of him. It sounds like an interesting premise, with lots of involvement from Missy. I wonder which Master it is that thinks they’ve won? Because he’s slap bang in the middle on both covers, and the latest incarnation apart from Missy, my assumption is the Simm Master.

I'm really intrigued by this one, but just can't justify that price. Shame. I’m curious how they’ll handle the Ainley Master, as I’m guessing he’ll have a substantial presence in Masterful. BF have had sort-of recasts of this incarnation before, maybe they'll revert to one of those actors?

Makes sense he’d not invite Missy as she’s his future, he just invited all his past selves for a gloat after all.

If it were me, I’d make the plot that someone has begun taking out past Masters from history, they’ve already gotten Dreyfus, Delgado and Ainley before the Master rescue their earilest self in order to preserve some of their history. Maybe have one of the other Masters fall victim “on screen” (can’t be Simm, he’s a bit of a selling point).

I am surprised that they didn’t give more details regarding the audiobook reading, but I guess that is being left for a separate announcement at a later date.
Personally I am beginning to consider getting the Eric Roberts Master box set, as that would be the amount I’d save buying the standard edition instead if the special. I think I’d prefer a full cast three disc set over four discs of narration. Plus I still remember my abject disappointment when I received The Legacy of Time “special edition” and this is obviously the same packaging.

Whats with the kid in the corner? Seems to be filling a prominent gap where there should have been at the very least, a Madame Tussaud's Waxwork of James Dreyfus.
NB: Funnily enough, I always imagined the young Master at the Academy as a Flashman figure, from Tom Browns Schooldays. Fits the profile, given know how he later turned out after being expelled, courtesy of the imagination of George MacDonald Fraser....

I really like this idea, but isn't there already a Time Lord filling this role? I have a vague idea it's somebody sixth Doctory, from a Lost Story or "Twin Dilemma"?

Text Free Artwork Regards mark687 Very talented work there. Having taught Digital Graphics for 15 years, from Fireworks through to current versions of Photoshop, I appreciate that it is really quite Hard to do well. A lot of tools & techniques to learn, and never enough class time to cover them all. I always let the best students at this sort of thing plough on and then demonstrate to me how they did it, so as to pass on to others! To make it financially viable as an artist, you need to be efficient and very competent with the software, otherwise you put too many hours into something with a flat rate fee. Respect to the Artist here and others who do the ranges, such as Lee Binding.

Attachment DeletedNow that is a thing of beauty. And while it is very, very tempting to go all out for the limited edition of Masterful, as my dear old grandad used to say you should never judge an audiobook by it's cover alone. The basic outline suggests there might be an awful lot of double dealing and backstabbing going on in this story, and with the acting chops of those cast members we know about it (hopefully) promises to be deliciously entertaining. But I'm immensely curious to know just what part Delgado's and Ainley's versions will play (audio clips or full recasts?), what role Gatiss' 'Unbound' Master will have..and details on the audiobook are still somewhat lacking. So while yesterday's served up Starter has wetted my appetite for more, I'm looking forward to seeing exactly what the Main Course has to offer before handing over my debit card. In short Big Finish....you want my money then tempt me some more...😈

The other Master is there but Missy has him tucked in her brolly as a souvenir of their first and last meeting, a story we shall never hear...
Yes, there was a 'bully' character, Az-someone and he's in LS 'Mission to Magnus'. And is one of the many reasons that's easily the worst Lost Story imo! A great range, but not that one.

I’m disappointed Jacobi isn’t in the elaborate costume they designed for “Code Silver” abd did a photo shoot of him wearing.

Not sure if someone predicted it already but I think we will get MacQueen's regeneration in this one.
Ainley being involved is very strange, especially since he was not in the teaser trailer. Maybe it's just a few archive footage from the videogame as predicted by others (like Devious's 3rd Doctor in Zagreus)? I mean I don't expect all 9 of the incarnations to have a sizeable role in it so that could be enough.

I can’t see them regenerating Macqueen into Jacobi, purely because the comic Master that regenerates into Jacobi already exists, and I can’t see them contradicting that when there’s nothing to gain and no story to tell from doing it. Especially after the lengths they went to in order to reconcile the Master’s post-TV movie timeline in Day of the Master.

Yeah I’m pretty sure all those costumes are just photoshopped.

Apart from the obvious (TV, Novel Adaptations, Comic Strip Adaptations, Big Finish stories have never been especially concerned about fitting into other media.
