Interesting. I'm not especially interested in DW prose or comics, but I'm very interested to see what Big Finish's corner of this is going to look like. Seems unlikely that Chris Eccleston has agreed to return, but I'm always up for more Paul McGann and David Tennant audio appearances!

If Eccles was in it they'd be shouting it from the rooftops. Probably Nick again.

Indeed. Either Nick, or Nine will appear only in print media. Although I suppose they could have Billie do a Companion Chronicles-style thing.

Scott has directed Big Finish's contributions (contributions plural!):

Well that’s much bigger news than I thought it would be. So much potential here. I assume Eight’s part is on audio and Ninth novel/comic, but Ten could be either. This is very ambitious (and I guess very expensive...).
Also interesting that it’s releasing at the same time Star Wars is kicking off it’s multi-media project, The High Republic. Direct competition there...

The worry is that the audio ends on a cliffhanger that gets resolved elsewhere. Big Finish seem reluctant to spread stories over their own various ranges, so I am sure that the stories from the other providers will enhance the overall experience rather than be required. At least I hope that will be the case.

It'll be the Escape Room.

It'll be the Escape Room. Sorry I don’t understand the reference!? Which probably goes to prove my worry regarding multi-platform stories.

An Escape Room is an interactive event that you actually have to go somewhere in the real world to attend. It's essentially a game. The intended joke is that the most important story will be the one aspect most people won't be able to ever see (as the rooms are only run for a limited time before being replaced with one of a different theme)

Doctor Who Magazine is involved in this too. Presumably in the comic strip, though I suppose it could also be short stories.

Wow, it certainly sounds ambitious. I love the idea of it, but I think they've dropped the ball by making the initial announcement so vague - I'd have announced the first couple of items and any cast members that are involved.
I'm a little cautious about the sheer amount of licences they're dealing with. The more licences, the harder it is to follow, especially with niches such as the Escape Hunt. I don't think it'll be a case of an audio ending on a cliffhanger that's picked up in a novel, but I think it's also important to make obtaining all the content as easily as possible.
Interesting that this is launching around the same time as Star Wars' multi-media attempts with The High Republic - it'll be an expensive few months for me!
All in all, I can't wait for more news!
