So, as well as listening to audios and reading DWM and getting locked in rooms, we'll also be reading books. And a couple of days after TLV is announced, the government knock VAT off ebooks. Somewhere in the Treasury is a completist DW fan trying to reduce his TLV-related outlay.

Is it just me or did others come away with the same feeling after listening to the latest podcast regarding Time Lord Victorious?
Namely that Christopher Eccleston certainly won’t be in the audios and that having David Tennant might also be a long shot.

Not having Tennant when he's at the center of Big Finish's promotional artwork would be greatly disappointing to me, I won't lie.

Pretty sure they will get Tennant in there somehow.

Pretty sure they will get Tennant in there somehow. I suspect all the BF stuff has already been recorded, and there hasn't been any opportunity for them to record Tennant unless it was yet another thing they did on the side during volume 3.

I’m not convinced that the artwork we’ve seen is for Big Finish’s contribution because it seems to be the artwork used in the news articles elsewhere too so to me it seems more like the generic artwork for the storyline as a whole.

I just find it hard to believe something this big is going on and Tennant is not involved. Just a personal feeling, that's all. Maybe they can get to Tennant at a later date or he is doing a home-office thing in his cupboard like some of the others were doing.

I believe Tennant does his podcast from home, so it seems reasonable to think that he could do some recording for this if he hasn't already. I certainly hope he'll play a role in the unfolding of this story.

Considering these are being released when between September and January, and I imagine BF didn’t somehow predict the lockdown in advance that it’s probably a bit late now to have Tennant in the audios. At least in a greater capacity than a cameo anyway.

Just having Dudman having a go at it would be... a tat underwhelming.

If Alfie Shaw is producing the BF bit, does that make it more likely to be chronicles-type audiobooks than audio dramas? I think that and Short Trips is all he's done for BF so far

Under his direction the Short Trips (and indeed the Chronicles set he produced) have arguably drifted away from being narrations and have become more about performances - indeed, this month's Regeneration Impossible, which Alfie wrote himself, is a fully dramatised story that just happens to only have one cast member playing two parts in it. He also wrote a story for one of last month's Class sets.

I think that and Short Trips is all he's done for BF so far It is a fair point and I am a little concerned that this big event will turn out to just be a collection of chronicles. However this must be an opportunity for Big Finish to show their wares to people who might not have otherwise sampled their delights. Therefore I would be very surprised if they don’t do any full cast releases for this. But it is being organised by the BBC, so perhaps they don’t want Big Finish to show up what BBC audio are producing.

With the release of information about the two novels coming out, it looks like me might have an insight into what the audio(s) could be.
“Now he must confront his former selves – one in league with their greatest nemesis and the other manning a ship of the undead…”
I would extrapolate from that write up that the Eighth Doctor has done a deal with the Daleks. Perhaps although death is everywhere for the Tenth Doctor in the Dark Times, in the here and now death has disappeared!? The Eighth Doctor wants to retain the natural order, whilst the Daleks just want to get back to killing something! I think that would be a fascinating dynamic for the Doctor, which I hope we get to explore on audio.

Oh I like the idea of one Doctor banishing death forever and the others trying to fix that mistake. Now I'm a bit disappointed that Sylvester won't be involved, though - it sounds like a good fit for his Doctor!

Wouldn’t have surprised me if the Tenth Doctor had already taken steps to keep his Seventh incarnation imprisoned or otherwise distracted whilst he tries to fulfil his goals. Can’t have a Machiavellian mastermind like the Seventh interfere with his plans. (At least, that’s how I would do it.)

Honestly would be kinda cool if Time War 8 actually decideds to go along with 10 because of all the suffering from the time war that he saw plus would kinda make sense for 8 to side with 10 because {Spoiler} With To The Death- The Daleks Killed Lucie, Tasmin and Alex
