I also would like to see more of the Cathedral of Contemplation. There is a lot of promise in that idea. I agree. I think the Cathedral of Contemplation was an idea more worthy of just a one hour story.

The more the merrier! I really want some adventures with Martha as well as Rose with Mickey along for the ride. It wouldn't hurt continuity to create a brand new companion for him.

I think the Cathedral of Contemplation was an idea more worthy of just a one hour story. The more I think about it, the more I see the problem. It's just a grand version of a Tardis, except that people visit. It's a way to travel through time and space and symbiotically bonds with it's host. That might be too many time travel plot devices for most stories. This one had the Cathedral plus Two Tardises, which were pretty much boxed away and useless throughout.

Yeah, I am in the minority of opinions with this one🤔 The banter between 4 and 10 was cute and Cathedral of Contemplation was a fascinating concept that BF should reuse because they didn’t do nearly enough with it here. Other than that I have to say that I can barely remember a single thing about this release other than it had Daleks in it. Runarounds can be fun but I just wish this story was more clever, exciting and had more of a deeper character study of 4 and 10. I did enjoy Baker’s and Tennant’s enthusiasm, they were clearly having a lot of fun, but I I just wish it was a bit more memorable overall.
I will try the other Out of Time releases to see if I enjoy those more😉

Personally I found this to be one of the best multi Doctor stories we've been given.
My one negative is this - I have a heard time not hearing all Daleks as Nick Briggs - it has reached the point where I don't even hear the ring modulator effect, it is just his regular voice now.
It will be most interesting to see the the interplay between 10 and 6.

I know what you mean about Briggs and the Dalek voices. I'm not a fan of his appearances as secondary/tertiary characters but his modulated voice sounds fine to me (and I LOVED that heavy booming voice for the Dalek Supreme - just *wow*).

Nick's voice is the Dalek voice... I love all of the different Daleks that he does with his modulator. The booming 'Supreme' in Out of Time was really great, it reminded me a bit of the TV Emperor from 2005. As for his other roles... they're just plain dull without a ring modulator!

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Oh, and that beautiful bit of irony that... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}...for all their talk of racial purity, the first Dalek isn't a Kaled, but a Thal.

As soon as he showed up...
{Spoiler} ...I'd correctly guessed what was going to happen!
EDIT: I'm not here to be negative and don't want to inadvertently derail this thread and will reiterate that I thought the Daleks (and Nick's performance) were great in Out of Time 1.

It's nice to be right in this instance, though, isn't it? One of those nice surprise un-surprises where it clicks together. Something I'd noticed in The Dalek Invasion of Winter: Nick Briggs has been performing the Daleks for so long that he's able to inject just that extra hint of depth to those screaming polycarbide cages. Little sparks of emotion like suspicion, indecision, you can even hear a Dalek gloating on one occassion, all without sacrificing that ʀᴜᴛʜʟᴇss ᴍᴏɴᴏᴛᴏɴᴇ. It's very clever. Delightfully creepy when it serves, as well (" Sᴜ-sᴀɴ Mᴇɴ-ᴅᴇs...").

I love the exchange between the Doctor and the guide which goes along the lines of the Doctor refuting the idea he’s there to get into trouble with “you must be thinking of someone else...” and having “I’m thinking of several people. All of them are you” thrown back at him.

Wonder if Out of Time 2 will reference Time Crash?

MY take on Out of Time is up at Cultbox: In short, I thought this was fantastic, well-pitched with a fairly straightforward story that left plenty of room for both Doctors to do their thing.

He tries but he always just sounds like Nice Briggs reading a script.

David Tennant & Tom Baker my favourite two Doctor's together battling Daleks, 60 minutes of fantastic entertainment, loved it.

It has been out for less than two weeks, and is Big Finish's best selling title of 2020
