Not a purchase, but at out Hanukkah party I received a gorgeous Doctor Who scarf, a t-shirt (the monster Abbey Rd crossing) and some Tardis lounge pants (no, not underwear). A good job all around.

A friend of mine just sold me her collection of still packaged old vintage tin Doctor Who figures. The 2nd Doctor Tardis Team (2, Zoe and Jamie), 4 and Leela and 7. Nerdgasm!!!! Awesome, of course I bought these immediately. These will be such a joy to paint up! (miniature painting is one of my absolute favorite past-times, it helps me to relax and focus)

Just bought The Mind Robber, Power of the Daleks and Evil of the Daleks on DVD, I'm on a 2nd Doctor binge after loving The Dead Star audio novel. I watched The Mind Robber years ago but have only heard the audio recordings of the two Troughton Dalek stories. Watching The War Games as I type, seen it many times, recently read it's the story the made Neil Gaiman fall in love with the show.

Finally after years of collecting thanks to a friend at Gallifrey One, I’ve got the final two VNAs: The Joy Device and Twilight of the Gods. When I get back to doing Doctor Who reviews for my blog I’m finishing the Benny stuff first.

Father Time
Well I loved The Infinity Doctors, so continuing to explore Lance Parkin’s lore and my first go at an EDA too (I am aware it’s mid-stuck on Earth arc so probably far from ideal start, but it was going cheap).

Good grief! It's here already! The just-released but delivered early thanks to HMV Season 9 reviewed, a look at the full set, thoughts on each serial and the usual nonsense..

I feel my sister just robbed someone on my behalf. She sent me a message saying she'd found "Big Finish books in a second-hand place". Turns out this place had FIVE of the Short Trips collections: 2040, The History of Christmas, Farewells, The Solar System, and A Christmas Treasury. I asked her to get them for me if they were reasonably priced, which they were. And how much did she paid for all five? AU$18.75. There's no misplaced decimal point there, and there are no zeros missing after the "8". I've gone onto eBay for a comparison and the collected total for those five volumes is between $700-$800 at the moment! And she got them for $18.75. You never know when there's a bargain just around the corner!

You do find some gems on eBay, I am on there regularly.

Another spontaneous eBay acquisition; The Burning.
Yes I am filling in the Wilderness Years material in the most bizarre order imaginable, but gotta start somewhere.

Recent acquisitions have been The Left-Handed Hummingbird, as wilderness year novels going cheap on eBay are turning into a real weakness of mine, and also a DVD of Vengeance on Varos, which I have seen before but just didn’t own and need for a certain little marathon I’m doing.
