Good to see they’re continuing to vary the stories when it comes to the Third Doctor’s companions. Maybe we’ll even one day gets an Avengers style team up between Liz, Jo and Sarah?
I doubt it would ever happen but I think it’s a fun idea regardless.

Could work as a sequel to Death of The Doctor as Liz was mentioned being on the moonbase in that episode but yeah opens up the can of worms if BF would/could do the sarah jane adventures

Isn’t Sophie Aldred’s character in Sil and the Devil Seeds of Thingy called Lady Zinn?

I like the sound of both of those - a Draconian sequel and... isn't the second story sort of treading in the footsteps of 'The Devil's Footprints' Short Trip from a few years back? Inspired by real events ('so they do say, but folks round 'ere don't like questions, arrr!' ) it sounded like a Third Doctor plot waiting to happen, and now it will be. I'm very pleased there's a UNIT story, and two new (and very well-known!) writers coming to the range.
Needless to say, the bundle was pre-ordered a long time ago...

I wonder if The Devil's Footprint will feature the return of the Daemons?

The Jo story doesn't fill me with excitement, as I'm not keen on Alan Barnes, and the return of the Draconian's epitomises the creative cul-de-sac that I think this range has hit the past few sets. However, I like that Big Finish are happy to alter the TARDIS teams in these sets moving forward and that Volume 7 isn't just a bundle of recasts and back to what's come before, so I live in hope.

Both of these stories sound very tempting, but I still wish they wouldn’t put different era/companions in the same set. But that is just me as Sarah Jane was where Doctor Who began for me.
Now the big question is in this anniversary year what do we think the chances are of the Master making an appearance in one or both of these?

To be honest, the descriptions for both stories are ambiguous enough that he could make an appearance in any of them. In any case, I’ll be very surprised if he never makes an appearance in the range.

Two separate adventures with Jo and Sarah Jane (and the Brigadier)? Oh, Big Finish, you're a beauty!

I'd not be surprised if Sadie hasn't recorded some more with Tom too.
But this is great, my favourite range

So what's the skinny on the Master's increasingly conspicuous absence here?

So what's the skinny on the Master's increasingly conspicuous absence here? (Had to look up 'what's the skinny!') They both mention him in the (truly charming) video, and BF must be aware that the Third Doctor without his Moriarty shouldn't go on indefinitely. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some kind of appearance in Set Nine- after all, they do seem happy to bring back old villains/monsters for Tim to face. Question is - which incarnation, and who should play him (or her)?

I pick these things up from all over the place, though that one may be a decadecentury or two out of date. I think I got it from 1930s noir mysteries?

Only joking - I'm wondering, with the many Masters on BF's rota, whether they would go for a Delgado soundalike, but then, would any other incarnation feel 'right?' It's a difficult one.

So what's the skinny on the Master's increasingly conspicuous absence here? I think its mainly due to Big Finish not finding the right actor to play The Delgardo Master in a full cast audio
