Nice dose of traditional in Conspiracy and a what if Philip Hinchliffe gave a hand on a Barry Letts project in Devils
Devils is the slighter stronger entry perhaps due to more varied characterization but Conspiracy does capture the feel of the TV story its associated with.

Listening to The Devils Hoofprints Really Good Story- The Impressions of Sarah, The Brig and 3 is much stronger and i think the story and characterization are quite good
i think we have found a future Sixth Doctor recast when Colin Baker Retires as Reverend Derek Woolsgrove does a really good impression of Colin Baker in his performance

Awesome, this is out. I think this is exactly what I need after another below average day at work. And with the current weather which is dark and grey and wet and it has not become light for the past 3 days. I like the 3rd Doctor era, and some nice fun stories with the UNIT crew will just be perfect to lighten my day.

Well, the first story with the Draconians would be worthy of a Klingon opera. It is pretty much that. Honour, honour killings, treachery, counter- treachery, royal weddings, crazy villains and weapons of mass destruction. Plus a little bit of James Bond heroics. Kathy Manning gives a fantastic performance and this is much more her story than it is the Doctor's. Jo gets a lot to do, she gets to use her spy training, do some sneaking about, working on her diplomacy... There is a lot of back and forth, and at a guess, you enjoyment of this would depend directly on if you like that type of story or not. The sound design again is great and fits in perfectly with the era. This story gets a thumbs up from me for Kathy's performance and the use Jo alone.

There was a 7th Doctor story called The Devils Footprints about the same west country myth. No spoilers but does The Devil's Hoofprints link to that it or contradict it?

I was going to write a long post about how much I enjoyed this story but it would be very similar to tuigirl's. Great fun, a minor criticism there's too much use of "reverse the polarity" we get it this was a thing for Pertwee but can we stop using it please. I would love to see an updated version of the Draconians return to the show.

What i took from the relisten this morning of two enjoyable tales is what i said years ago i wonder what the 3rd doctor did when the Master wasn’t involved in the stories and i was hugely relieved that the releases of this and the previous box sets answered this question for me i love watching the old Pertwees but it became a definite less is more although now i can slot these episodes in easily to Jo Grants tenure. Sadie is very ably portraying Sarah Jane but its wonderful when she says a line i can imagine how her mother may have portrayed it.Still one of the stronger ranges definitely and always a joy to listen to them

The Devi'ls Hoofprints, very average story after enjoying the last one this was formulaic & unremarkable. But the performances were really good.

Just finished Conspiracy in Space. Really liked it! Don’t have too much to add to what’s already been said, though. Definitely delivers that cozy feel I always get when I listen to a Third Doctor and Jo story.
And I so, SO wish this had been called On His Draconian Majesty’s Secret Service!

Listened to The Devil’s Hoofprints last night. I think I might have liked this one just a bit less than Conspiracy story-wise, but it’s still a good, engaging and fun adventure.
The characters here are more memorable than Conspiracy’s. I couldn’t help but fall in love with Sir Basil and Reverend Woolsgrove in particular. They fill a very Jago & Litefoot kind of role in this story - they even have their own Ellie in the form of Mrs. Plymtree - but they’re just original enough that it doesn’t take you out of the story.
Overall I‘d say I had some fun with this one.
