Relistened to the set and am halfway through Purity Undreamed in prep for the latter two sets which I haven’t heard. I still think The Rotting Deep is a fantastic opener, and Hebe’s connection to Evelyn is still a lovely touch. The Tides of the Moon was still a 4/5, though I can’t decide if it’s closer to a 4.5 or not. Maelstrom is unfortunately a bit weaker this time round, as I found the concept still great, but it just feels messy all around, whether it’s the script, the music or the side characters, including Mel’s new mind, who’s name I cannot remember. All around though, I think the set is a bit better than I initially gave it credit for, and it’s looking at it with everything having been released, it’s a very smart move to have the first set basically be it’s own arc.
