NPH of course be playing an original character, but as this is an anniversary and we (may) already have Beep back, fair to say there's good odds he a returner. Which one, drawing on what little evidence and speculation thus far? -Master (probably the least likely, right after the Centennary. Plus, he's almost too big a get for a role you'd, ideally, want to see recurring) -Toymaker -Monk (got a profile not unlike Hound or Butterworth. Plus, it'd fit an ironic version of 'greatest enemy') -Master of the Land of Fiction (If the specials are doing some type of reality bending, hey, he'd be a good fit. Could DO something meta with him) -Black Guardian -Rassilon -Omega (how do you follow up someone like Stephen Thorne? Get someone else with a 'big presence' too. Plus, it'd be very RTD to go 'here, we finally did Omega in the anniversary. Now shut up.) -Male Rani (if anyone'd be cheeky enough to do, I can see RTD doing it)

That damn Meep is really going to town. Or it’s literally anyone else bringing it down, but I love the idea of that furball shooting down an entire plane.

That doesn't really fit with RTD saying he's playing "the greatest enemy the Doctor has ever faced."
Is there a character in "The Star Beast" that could fit? I need to re-read that story.
Nope, no humanoid villain in The Star Beast. Tbh with RTD’s talk about him being the Doctor’s greatest enemy, makes me wonder if he’ll be an antagonistic parallel universe Doctor. Thus making the Doctor’s great enemy…himself. That so trope-y in modern Who. Who was the deadly threat the Pandorica was made for? The Doctor. Who was the Timeless Child? The Doctor. Who is the only person to end the Time War? The only person to defeat that many Cybermen? Etc, etc. Feels like we have done the "Doctor is The Doctors worst enemy" idea too, from Nightmare In Silver to Amy's Choice and more. I would like a bit more than that.

Sorry have I missed something why is he a problem. Amy Winehouse corpse cake mere weeks after she died. And just being generally rude/ego-centric/dismissive of other people. So poor taste and maybe/maybe not being something of a jerk is problematic?

I feel buying a cake that makes a joke out of someone's very recent death is more than just poor taste. The fact they thought it was a funny thing to do is a bit of a red flag in itself. Repeated ignorant/brat behaviour to other people and never learning from it? Yeah, for me, that's problematic. If it's not for you, that's your view but for me, he's shown time and time again that he's a jerk.

{Spoiler}14th to 30th of december ? the multi specials leak seems even more likely. the dates line up with 2023, no 2022 btw
given the design, maybe RTD will try a greatest show in the galaxy sequel, as another meta comment on "the fall of Dr Who" pushed by some of the fandom. (i'm probably overthinking)

Maybe RTD is adapting "The Star Beast" and Big Finish's "Solitaire"--the Toymaker in a toy shop setting.

There's a jump in the dates, from Sun the 24th to Mon the 26th. After the jump the dates align with 2022. That level of detail may not be visible on screen anyway.

Maybe RTD is adapting "The Star Beast" and Big Finish's "Solitaire"--the Toymaker in a toy shop setting. Well it’s possible that Solitare could be adapted for onscreen and would be an easier type of episode to film (two people, one setting) plus with rumours that big finish writers are being involved (I could honestly see RTD hiring John Dorney to write or co-write a story due to his talented works)
