I'm really looking forward to ReXurrection! Monsters Unleashed looks to be a whole lot of fun, as well.

I'm really looking forward to ReXurrection! Monsters Unleashed looks to be a whole lot of fun, as well. At least Monsters Unleashed looks to be a good old fashioned heros vs kaiju instead of hero vs hero. If you like kaiju, the recent Batfamily crossover event was Night of the Monster Men. The issue of Nightwing after the crossover had Bruce mention Damian was referring to them as "Godzillas". And yes, Bruce did actually use quote marks.

oh i read a bunch and pretty happy with all though i felt like the "voices" of many of the characters seemed way off to me. im not sure how secret war 2 affected who these characters are . also while civil war 2 is still going on marvel's books are post civil war.
avengers 1.1 this is the flashback series about cap's kooky quartet. cap, hawkeye, quicksilver, and scarlet witch. by waid and kintson definitely on board for this one
avengers 1 the main avengers book by waid and mike del mundo. ive been reading comics a long time and i felt like i was reading about "strangers" in this book. other that solid book.
uncanny avengers the unity team deals with the fall out of civil war 2 decent im on this book for steve rogers. again everyone seems so best buddies in this book im not sure when that happened.
occupy avengers hawkeye hits the road after civil war 2 grieving from the loss of one of his closest friend bruce banner like i said long time reader no clue when hawkeye and hulk became buds. also red wolf is in this . the writer also wrote red wolf's decent but now cancelled solo book. this book just seemed to reinvent clint barton into a whole new person.
steve rogers captain hydra i love it steve plots against everyone shield the avengers tony stark the red skull same wilson he is going to take them all down for the glory of hydra.
the unworthy thor sad sac odinson isnt good for anything not even his name but the art is excellent
black panther worlds of wakanda felt like an unnecessary try out/ new talent book one good artist in it cant recall the name
the invincible iron man the first issue of riri williams stint as iron man not bad great art

also while civil war 2 is still going on marvel's books are post civil war. Blame the delayed schedule. Apparently there's only one artist who was an expectant parent, and there were last minute revisions to the story as well as more issues bolted on. It has the consequence of some of the results and twists from CWII being spoiled or implied in the titles that take place after the event. It doesn't help there's little of substance so far in five or six issues, just people hugging the idiot ball (mention no names, Captain Marvel) and a whole lot of self-fulfilling prophecies.

well went to my LCS pickerd up my books
future quest 6 love it the art is just my style kind of throw back book in style but at the same time updating the hanna babbera action heroes and adding new characters that i guess would be adding diversity but jeff parker does it right . they are character first then what ever else they represent black woman asian etc
thanos ! i just wanted to "peek" at this and see the direction they were taking thanos post secret war but i think im sticking around BIG star spanning sci fi comic jeff lemore deserves his reputation and i am a fan of mike deadato's art ill be back for issue 2
infamous iron man 2 i really enjoyed the first issue but bendis has returned to form not my cup of tea
black panther 8 i really have to go back a reread this run all at once i really havent commited to this series i guess im afraid of coates getting to political and forgetting he writing a character in adventures sdtiries thats been around for 50 years. but he is a good writer english class good writer i just have to commit to his vision and see if i like that.
i also picked up sam wilson cap 15 , nova 2 , and nightwing 9 ill read later
nuff said for now

Lost Boys Issue #2 Two Issues in (of #6) and this is fantastic so far, atm i think its safe to say that it goes of in a different direction than the Movie series after the first film. Cant wit for the rest Sonic MegaDrive - The Next Level (One Shot) Well i say its a One Shot, but its actually a sequel to another One Shot. I really need to get back into the Archie Comics Sonic stuff. Think Ill focus on the Main series again to begin with and not the various other series that have sprung up lol Doctor Who - Supremacy of the Cybermen Issue #5 Well after all the delays and everything, this series was absolutely pointless. Such a dud ending i felt. Very , very disappointed in both Cavan Scott and George Mann on this one

Very , very disappointed in both Cavan Scott and George Mann on this one I just had to read the final issue because I like to watch the world burn. My first thought: What. The. Actual. fiddlesticks. The plot didn't engage because there were four separate strands of it, the companions were at best generic and at worst non-entities and that's just in the writing! The art for the Doctors and companions was abysmal. I'd rather have an an issue focusing on each Doctor/companion team, with the regular art team for each, and then bring the Twelfth Doctor in at the end to deus ex machina the solution.

It should have been the first four issues, being a Doctor each, then yeah 12 sorting out at the end. This wasnt so much an event as a non starter. A hate those reset button endings. Its something Doctor Who normally tries to stay away from or at least does something creative with it

I wonder what they did with the aftermath? I just had to read the final issue because I like to watch the world burn. My first thought: What. The. Actual. fiddlesticks. Its something Doctor Who normally tries to stay away from or at least does something creative with it I was actually considering a purchase of this, I'd heard a lot of things about Supremacy. Steering well clear of it now, there's nothing that infuriates me more than a botched ending that renders everything previous utterly meaningless. I'd almost go so far as to say it's beneath it, I hate it when the story either doesn't matter or pretends that something has always been this way and never tries to grow from what's come before. Doctor Who is usually a lot cleverer than that. Just finished up reading the final volumes of Alan Moore's run on Saga of the Swamp Thing. A wonderful, exhausting and thoroughly enjoyable ride. From the Louisiana bayou to monstrous goings on in South America to being assaulted by Agent Orange in Gotham to escaping from Earth itself... I highly recommend people go and pick up all six volumes if they can, they feel very proto-Cartmel in their execution. I'm very, very tempted to believe that late eighties and early nineties Doctor Who took more than a leaf from these comics and even without that connection they are fine pieces of work. It'll definitely wash the bitter taste of Supremacy out.

Next stop, Bludhaven! honestly i feel like the character hasnt been quite right since they blew up the place Grayson was really good for Dick Grayson material that wasn't Batman-lite and I love the opening arc with Raptor in the Rebirth title. It feels like Seeley is starting to build up a Rogues Gallery for Dick, which is exciting. Dick's motivation for going to Bludhaven for the upcoming arc is very clever.

I've been reading a great LGBT series called The Backstagers, it's about the stage crew of a High School drama club and the strange magical hijinks there thrown into.
It's a great series with some fantastic characters.

Got this years Christmas issue of 2000 AD with a story by Eddie Robson, and the beginning of a new series by Guy Adams (and some other names Big Finish fans may recognise)
while Emma Beeby wrote a Catwoman/Wonder Woman story for DC's New Talent showcase
