i dont know how the modern comcic market works take marvel they are pushing books that barely sell or are ok sellers as sort of their standard bearers. when you looks at hard copy sales you just scratch your head. www.comichron.com/monthlycomicssales.html keep in mind these are amount of books retailers have ordered not how many they sold. a i thought sales were going up but my buddy sent me 2 links talking about marvel sales dropping. ive asked a lot of pros how electronic sales are doing and none of them know. the comic industry, backed by huge movies, has made a huge push for new customers. has it made a difference? are they downloading them? hipsters and women might prefer that way, but we dont have any numbers for e sales. are they buying in trade? im just about ready to convert to trades over floppies. everyone seems on super hero bandwagon but they dont want to read the books.

Rivers of London Body Work. I liked the flashbacks to when Nightingale was young. On to Night Witch today The Rivers of London comics, like the novels, are very good. I think I prefer Body Work to Night Witch, but it's close. Ben Aaronovitch is one of the best writers of that sort of fantasy story. (His Remembrance of the Daleks novelisation is the best Doctor Who Target novel too as far as I am concerned.)

i started the first vision trade by tom king i wanted to see what all the hype was about this is not a super hero comic this is a science fiction comic this is pretty good the avenger 's vision builds himself a wife and 2 kids and gets a job as white liason for the avengers and moves to virginia. the neighborhood looks like leave it to beaver. can they fit in? so far this is good stuff.
ok im continuing with the vision trade this is good there are quite a few wtf moments the mom is my favorite so far

Inhumans Vs X-Men just breaks my heart (I'm only reading it as it ties into the younger heroes of Marvel). It's such a fundmental bad attempt to push the evenlope. As much as I love Brian Michael Bendis, everything since AVX has been awful.
Marvel, please don't mess up ReXurrection. Please. (Although I'm not a big fan of the concept of the new Generation X series).

i received the second vision trade in the mail yesterday and read it in one sitting. well 6 issues really isnt that many. i dont even freaking like the vision. at first i thought this was science fiction comic then by the end of the first trade i thought maybe its a horror comic. the artist drew some really freaky visions. now that ive finished im not sure what sort of comic it is. but it does feel like this story was waiting to be told with this character and the marvel u needed this story.
anyway thats my 2 cents

Like Vision it's different from most other output by Marvel and DC, and all the better for it.

I recently started reading Voyager. I'm not too far in - about halfway through the titular story, in fact - but it's so easy to picture Robert Jezek voicing Frobisher in these stories, even though he was only in The Holy Terror and The Maltese Penguin.

What comics are you collecting?
For me:
I went off Avengers during Hickman's run and I'm not exactly enthralled by HYDRA Cap, so it's just the new kids for me at the momment and waiting for ReXurrection to start which is a shame because I'm a big Marvel fan:
Spider-Man Ms Marvel Nova Totally Awesome Hulk Moon Knight
DC
Superman Action Comics Super Sons Justice League Aquaman The Flash Teen Titans Titans
BOOM! Studios
Backstagers
Titan:
All Doctor Who titles.

What comics are you collecting?
Old ones! I am filling in gaps in my ASM and Daredevil collections at reasonable grades when I can get them for decent prices. Generally, Comixology does for modern stuff like Marvel Star Wars titles and TWD, but I do buy the Titan Comics Doctor Who collected hardcovers, as well as occasional random hardcovers if I really like something.
