So 6 out of 8 episodes are penned by RTD… mixed feelings. Yeah it’s not exactly an influx of fresh talent. On a related note Rogue will be first episode since The Haunting of Villa Diodati not to have been written by RTD, Moffat or Chibnall.

So 3 and bit Titles known about for ages
Space Babies
The Devil's Cord
Boom
The Legend of Ruby Sunday was rumoured as both "The Story of" and "Goodbye"
Dot and Bubble was rumoured as a Series 15 Ep
37 Yards, Rouge and Empire of Death Titles are brand new information
RTD writing the majority as expected (and so far most of what footage we've seen actually feels different from his usual style to me)

On a related note Rogue will be first episode since The Haunting of Villa Diodati not to have been written by RTD, Moffat or Chibnall. Apparently by the time Rogue airs, it’ll be the first episode in 1574 days not to be written by a showrunner. I wasn’t expecting a whole host of new talent and I was expecting RTD to be writing a handful of the episodes himself but I wasn’t thinking that it was going to be 6 out of 8. I know he wrote the majority of S1 but I think with the lower episode count it feels more obvious here. I would have liked more variety but I’m expecting we’ll get more variety in the next season once this era is more established.

Did anyone expect the return of basically the same team as 2005 to signal in influx of new talent? All feels like a knee jerk nostalgia trip. A show stagnating creatively?
