Flux was filmed under extreme COVID conditions, it's a minor miracle it came out as well as it did. As for following it up? He only had two episodes and one had to be Jodie's regeneration story. Not like Chibnall had lots of time for followup. And it was made clear in the 60th specials that The Doctor's actions in Wild Blue Yonder with salt at the edge of the universe are why the Toymaker and, now, others are able to cross in from fantastical realms. Nothing to do with Flux. Youre so busy looking to criticise Chibnall youre crediting Russell with something he isn't doing. Ignoring your unnecessary Chibnall stanning, it's stated clearly in WBY that the whole reason for the universe being smaller and things getting through is due to the Flux. I enjoy a lot of the Chibnall era but this constant 'no criticism ever!' by some of the more rabid fans makes me retroactively dislike it more than I do. It's tiresome.
I'm well aware of the circumstances behind the scenes, thank you, that doesn't make the concept any better utilized than it was.
Incorrect Chibnall bashing is also tiresome. Andy is correct.

Constant bashing of ANY Era can be tiresome. Regards mark687 Except there's a difference between constant bashing and being jumped on for ever daring to point out that something isn't perfect. It's a thread for a new era and you brought up the last one just to criticise it. You were not "jumped upon for daring to point out something isn't perfect" - but you don't have an entitlement to state untruths without rebuttal for correction. Opinions are one thing, facts are another. You bashed Chibnall for not building on an arc he had no time to build on. You praised RTD for building on that story better than Chibnall did - despite it not building on Flux at all. Please dont play the victim when you were just wrong about something. When Im wrong Id rather be corrected so I know better. I guess you preefr an echo chamber.

I literally pointed out the very episode that proved my point so you do not get to sit on a high horse and pretend that you're the only one here who is reasonable.
And you know what, given that Chibnall is the both the producer and the writer, him 'not having time' when he makes the schedule is not really an argument. He could have just as easily wrote a different plot if he didn't have time to tell the one we got.
Secondly I said, that it 'looks' like that's the direction RTD is going in given what's come before and the trailers, and that I think it's an exciting direction to go in. I could be wrong, but until it airs neither of us knows.
You come across as a very disagreeable person who is only looking to start fights by taking the worst interpretation of what some says always, not only here but also on my own marathon thread, so from here forth I will not be interacting you regarding this matter.

You came in to criticise Chibnall from out of nowhere then met a rebuttal with calling it "stanning". For anyone who doesn't know the meaning of this dumb phrase it's "an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity." I think Chibnall is the worst showrunner of the new series and has more misses than hits. What a "stanner". You came back with name calling, not me. So please, do put your money where your mouth is and block me as I wouldnt change my opinions to suit someone who acts like you do with your nasty terms and attitude. I certainly wont care about being told "You come across as a very disagreeable person" from someone who seems to get along with nobody given your posts about your work on that What's Not Made Your Day thread where everyone else - what a coincidence - seems to be disagreeable to you as well! Cheerio. When I joined and asked for old members I was told they were run off by rudeness and intolerance. I am seeing why.

Images isn't working for me Don't know why
Anyways the poster above me, whom I've blocked, was just the other day was complaining about people not being able to handle others' opinions and being rude and yet has been nothing but rude and unable to handle other's opinions since they got here.
So just insert you own 'pot meet kettle' meme here.

but I do want to point out one important thing.
I live in the deep south and work with literal MAGA hat wearing far-right Nazis, so me finding them 'disagreeable' is not the insult you think it is.
You've seemed to missed that bit of context in your rush to sound superior.
Nor have I've I been here long enough to have known any of the old posters who left

The Unbound Universe is clearly for real. At no time in this universe did the sonic screwdriver ever look remotely dangerous.
But now the Doctor will defend the universe against goblins etc. by waving the Trilobite Of Rassilon at them, presumably in the hope they die laughing.

You joke, but I would not be opposed to any of the Doctors getting to be a meet and greet character at any of the Disney Parks.

When that Thames Estuary theme park was still being talked about, DW was one of the properties that had been proposed for inclusion. And, of course, Universal (who made the TVM) are thinking about a theme park in the Midlands.
