Weird choice. But no please no "His ambitions sit well with the Disney vision of an expanded universe of overlapping characters and timeframes." Don't turn Dr Who into Marvel or Star Wars where we have to watch every show to understand whats going on. To be fair, RTD1 was doing MCU stuff before the MCU even existed. There were references between DW, SJA and Torchwood and The Stolen Earth/Journey’s End was like the Doctor Who version of Infinity War/Endgame. I know. References are different to having to watch it all to get the full story.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a slight mixup here and that it’s a villain anthology spin-off, with the Sea Devils allocated one of those episodes.

This is what, the second or third first spinoff they've announced?
The problem with this report is that it doesn't actually say very much.

It’s being reported that “The War Between” Limited company has been set up by Bad Wolf Productions so it could be an anthology series with each episode having some sort of war involving a returning enemy.

Well, the company certainly exists and is definitely part of Bad Wolf. find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/14316420CEO is Jane Tranter. The company was set up in August 2022 as Bad Wolf (DG) Ltd and was renamed this February. Company address is Wolf Studios. Jane is CEO of about a dozen Bad Wolf subsidiaries, but this is the only one that has been given an interesting name.

Looks like certain people want to takeover the show? Well, they already have. All the Companies House info shows is a hint of how complicated the Bad Wolf corporate structure is

At least they haven't killed off the Doctor, leaving their creator-owned character ready and waiting to take over the whole series.
But nobody would *ever* do that...

Loved the boldness of it and the classical music use for the score. That and Real Time were better than Scream Of The Shalka ANY day.

DCCT was written and produced by rather crude pun-based humourists Dan Freedman and Nick Romero, plus somebody who wrote for BF and whose name I can't remember off the cuff. They did a pilot for Radio 4 starring Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred which was rejected, to much anger from fans. The BBC's website people took an interest and commissioned a radio series with slightly animated illsutrations to go on the Beeb's website, one of the very first webcasts in the world. Basically, the Doctor {Spoiler} has Godlike powers and eventually has to use them to erase the baddie and himself from the universe. This leaves the Minister of Chance, played by Stephen Fry, to take the Doctor's place in the world. It's generally considered not very good, and has a cameo by Nicholas Courtney playing a version of Lethbridge-Stewart who seems to think his name is actually "The Brigadier". And Doctor Legg from Eastenders is in it, I believe, but David Bowie turned out not to be.

Dimensions in Time does not have more standing... well, not here anyway. Death Comes to Time was way better! (I just didn't like the ending.)
