Episode 3 was one of my favourite X-Files episodes of the whole series.
But overall, the revival made me want Darin Morgan to get his own show more than it made me want more X-Files.

Episode 1 - Way much exposition. Episode 2 - Much more like it. More show and less tell. Episode 3 - Best of the series to me. A very fun episode. Episode 4 - What's not to love about evil binmen? Enjoyed it a lot. Episode 5 - Bizarre. Felt more like an excuse to show Mulder getting drugged up with magic mushrooms. Episode 6 - Suffered a similar fate to the first one but to a lesser extent: too much exposition. The 'My name is Dana Scully' opening as with the Mulder one in the first episode really wasn't necessary.

It's coming back again! I thought the FB post I saw was about the audio series but no - we're getting a new series on telly too. On Fox's facebook so...yay!

I haven't really seen much of 'The X-Files' outside of the latest series, but I can't wait!

Well that is good news! The 10th season left us with a pretty big cliffhanger.

That cliffhanger was garbage. "WILL MULDER DIEEE? ?" No he won't. And even if he does, he already did in Season 8. So I'm glad it's not the ending of the whole series. More Darin Morgan next season, please.

The only really good episode was episode 3 but I am just a glutton for punishment when it comes to the X-Files. Honestly I'd love to see some new writers tackle some MOTW eps at least.

I loved Ep 5 of the new series. To be able to do Islamic extremism, Mulder's drug trips and have the parody young Mulder and Scully (Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose's characters) all in one ep...wonderful. It was a glorious cluster of craziness. I thought it wa the est thing Chri Carter has written for the show since the very early days (faint praise!). It reminded me very much of Season 7 where there were so many oddball goofy eps even for The X-Files.
Generally though, I'm hoping Wong and the Morgans get to write most of Series 11, hopefully Vince Gilligan too, and some new talent can join. No way will Carter not write the bookends though.

I'm delighted that we're getting more. Six episodes was great but not quite enough. Ten seems like a good number that will let the story breathe more.

I need to go back and watch some old X-Files. Just because.

Wow, Series 11 looks amazing! Hope Channel 5 will still be showing it.
