There is actually a BF recommended supplier in Germany
www.luebbe.de/
obviously the site is written in German so I couldn't successfully navigate to find the BF Products.

I don't know much German, but I looked at the site out of curiosity and it seems that just searching for Big Finish directly reveals a bunch of audio downloads (conveniently, called 'audio-download' in German): www.luebbe.de/bastei-luebbe/suche?q=big+finishThat didn't seem to come up with any CDs, but searching for 'Doctor Who' directly did (and most of the results are Big Finish): www.luebbe.de/bastei-luebbe/suche?q=doctor+who&f=medium%3AHörbuch&s=score%3AdescThere seem to be many fewer search results there, so they may not have all CDs available, though I may have been searching for the wrong terms. Anyway, it seems both the CDs and downloads are in the ballpark of 15 Euros. I don't know enough German to figure out what their shipping policies would be locally. The prices are the same as buying direct from BF before shipping's added already.
Apologies I assumed you lived in Germany and were looking for a German supplier.

If you are looking for a german retailer "amazon.de" is the place. Doctor Who - Cold Fusion has a pre order price of 14.57 Euro (=12.65 Pound) and if your a prime member, shipping is free. If I would pre order from Big finish I would pay 30.56 Euro.

I normally buy 1-2 at a time as my budget is limited to select sales, added to the fact that I want mostly exclusively the 8th Doctor... I just checked Shada... before the increase I was looking at about $10-12 shipped... now it is $22.18... Umm... I CAN'T do nor justify that... I also have zero interest in paying for a download... so IF I want something I'd gave to buy on another site or abandon a purchase all together. In my mind... that's pretty weak. Realistically if they just made all the stuff that would normally have been $10 to to $15 and all the sales likewise... I'd be fine, can't this way though.

If you're not bothered about not having the accompanying digital backup, then the Book Depository is the best bang for your Canadian buck when purchasing Big Finish CDs in small amounts.

For the international BigFinish.com CD buyer that wants to pre-order all 3 sets anyways... The Doctor Who: River Song, Churchill, New Monsters Bundle 2 (CD) - £60 + £12 shipping is a sweet deal. Note: Within a regular single 1-2CD jewel case subscription, it costs £15 postage to have 3 titles individually sent out. In circumstances where the £6.50 "per order charge" is applied the box sets cost £3.00 each for postage. However, the savings without the "per order charge" being added onto this bundle is £3.50 on the shipping. Combined with £3.00 product savings on each of the box sets (instead of buying them individually) the total savings is £ 12.50. I realize that Big Finish might not want to create this type of bundle everyday (e.g. they didn't with the current trio of pre-order Torchwood specials), but I do appreciate their option existences when available. In the long run, I suppose these types of bundles are still profitable for Big Finish, because it *captures* a potential buyer to purchase all of its included titles, instead of 1 or 2. It is also possible that the less popular Churchill title within this new series bundle is being financially anchored by the 2 other stronger selling (or at least interest wise) box sets.

Just an interesting thing that happened this morning
A German fan on BF's FB Page was asking when the next Diary of River was due I gave them the BF Product page link. They thanked me and said they'd order it through German Amazon. BF then replied asking them why as they'd get it at least 2 months sooner if they ordered through them, the fan replied that since they were German they were still saving over 10 Euro in shipping buying through German Amazon. Its almost as if to some extent, BF took for granted that overseas customers wouldn't look for alternative/ cheaper means of purchase.

You still get a digital release though with a CD purchase. A lot of times I double dip because I always start off with the DL release but if I really like something I may go and then buy the CD. In these cases I probably will look for a cheaper alternative now.
But if I am going to get a new release on CD I will definitely order directly from Big Finish because I would get it sooner and get the digital version for free. It might be slightly more expensive than Amazon but I still think its worth it (of course keeping in mind I order very few physical copies of Big Finish as a primary download customer).

Almost 50 % isn't slightly more. And for that ammount I create my own mp3. It doesn't take that long.

Plus you can easily access it always from the Cloud. But to each their own. I understand if people order CDs all the time from Big Finish. But like I said if I am just going to get special releases on CD I will still be ordering from and supporting Big Finish.

That's the thing that I often find strange, some people like to pay more money to get a 'free' download, but anyone with a PC can rip a CD to mp3, m4a/b or any other format in a few minutes, creating their own 'download'. So if a substantial saving can be made by buying elsewhere it seems like a no-brainer. Having BF keep all your purchases in their 'cloud' is a good idea though, but I'm still inclined to back-up my purchases elsewhere... just in case! Each to their own and all that though...

I like to have it in a cloud too. I just use my own cloud so I can access them anytime. I don't have that much cloud space unless I pay more than I am currently paying for Big Finish. Also, I like being able to use the Big Finish app if I want to. And the stories need to be in BF's cloud to do that.

Everyone has my apologies if this question has been asked already and I missed. I was getting ready to pre-order the second Baker's End from Bafflegap and as I was moving to checkout I noticed that the item, in converted US dollars is $12.58 with shipping coming to $4.41 for a total of $16.99. Who is Bafflegap using for their shipping carrier and can we get them to give BF a call? I went to the BF site and found a single disc release of similar cost, in this case Drama Showcase for $13.85. Shipping is $1.89 with the per charge adding $8.19 for a total of $23.92! Is this comparing apples to oranges on my part? And I'm asking this is all seriousness.

I assume Bafflegab are just using the normal postal service Nathan, so Royal Mail at their end. Big Finish use DHL for overseas shipping, with the extra cost this involves being passed on to the customers. Such a price difference for one CD is ridiculous, but that's the way it is. (?)

Yeah, I just found it eye opening since like BF, Bafflegap is a small production house, probably much smaller than BF and I would imagine their margins are even tighter. I was also wondering if the Per Charge fee is a way to retroactively make up the shortfall on their accounting error of the past few years. Anyway...

2017-2019 Pre-Order Bumper Bundle (CD) £185 + £45 international shipping [savings: £30 + £8.50 postage]. The New Counter-Measures: Series 2 box set essentially for FREE! I LOVE these types of offerings! 100% - I will buy this special bundle during the coming week! Big Finish secures development money for those products in advance, and I save money - an amicably practical deal for both parties. The irony is that I'll be purchasing Series 7 of the Fourth Doctor Adventures before its Sixth Series. I'd like to buy FDA: Series 6, Early Adventures: Series 4, Torchwood (13-18) and Pathfinder Legends: Series 3 CD subscriptions in advance, but I'm not keen on paying £5 per CD shipping.

POUNCE! HG Wells Bundle 2017 (CD) £72 + £24 international shipping [offer ends January 3, end-of-day UK time]. That's a postage concession of £1 less per CD for a "subscription" of six HG Wells stories. If the shipping was £5 per CD (the usual subscription price mark), I probably wouldn't have bothered pre-ordering this bundle. ** Thanks again Big Finish for offering an early bird value option! **

Thank you BF for your sale on Jago & Litefoot, this weekend...Because of your per order charge I did a little shopping on Amazon, and ended up getting all 6 of the first series, and saved 30 dollars off what you would have charged me, with my savings, I ended up buying Classic Doctors New Monsters. And got it all for just 10 dollars less than I would have gotten only the first 6 from your sale...Good news for your warehouse though, the buyer I bought from will probably order more this weekend while your stuff is on sale, so there you go...Isnt commercialism a wonderful thing.
Fix your shipping charges BF, I get stuff from the UK all the time for next to nothing, until then, i'll be buying from sellers without a per order charge plus an estimated 1.50 for a single cd, and getting the same CD's, at a much cheaper rate. And i'll be sure to let you know how much I save in the meantime. Your company is great at telling stories, but lousy at marketing and maximizing your profits.
