BF's Long term Strategy? Nick Briggs to do everything It certainly seems that way... but it might also mean more Daleks, so we can let his ego off in that case! Not really a big Dalek fan...

Not really a big Dalek fan... Me neither. You're not alone, aztec. They can be overused. Also, unlike other monsters, it is not really possible to create an individual that breaks the mould / is unlike a Dalek as the Doctor is unlike a Time Lord. This means that, despite Doctor Who (TV and audio) trying to create 'special' Daleks, they all end up still just being Daleks. Because we have not seen any dissension among the ranks (Daleks in Manhatten excepted) we don't even get the sense of special Daleks being more powerful, which is the supposed draw of the "special" Daleks.

I would like to have further information before commenting. Is anyone attending Gallifrey One in Los Angeles? Perhaps someone could ask and fill us in on the response?

As far as I can see the most detailed comment from Nick was "The main range will remain exactly the same if that's the way you wish to purchase your stories. The individual Doctor stories will eventually be main marketed through individual Doctor ranges and CDs will eventually be collated into box sets. But there is no set date for this yet. The main thing to remember is that you'll still be able to access things in the old way, if you want to."
The main question is what the collating of CDs in box sets will involve Is it changes to new releases or repackaging of old releases? what sort of physical format will the box set take? As a purchaser of the physical products (with no ho,e imternet connection) I do remain concerned about the physical items. The change to the 4th Doctor adventures is not good for me due to the difficulties of fitting 4 cds in a slipcase (with packaging) through a letterbox -though this problem does not apply to 3cds in a slip case or to the multi-cds double jewel cases (companion chronicles, 3rd Doctor, Terrahawks, Omega Factor) or to the spindle set packaging (Cyberman, Dorian Gray, audiobooks) or to the premium sets.
I'm hoping we do not get a similar change to the Monthly/Main Range/Releases (delete words according to your preference)
