I wonder what that means for the other RTD and Moffat-penned books? Are they still writing them, or are the author listings a mistake? Looks like it was just that one for which incorrect info had been released. Where have you seen the Paul Cornell thing anyway? All I've noticed is that The Day of the Doctor novelization has strangely disappeared from the Penguin site but still listed on Book Depository. Are you sure it's not Paul Cornell writing The Day of the Doctor?

What he said, Dalekbuster.

What he said, Dalekbuster. Oh, thanks. I somehow managed to miss the Radio Times link in his post. Interesting. I guess this makes a Father's Day novelization more likely.

I wonder if they'll revisit the idea of Gaimen novelizing The Doctor's Wife, as had been floated a few years back.

I'd love to see him novelize Nightmare in Silver and show us the version of the story he intended. What was the original intent? The original was a two-parter and had scenes with Cybermen emerging from the water at a beach. I get the sense there was a lot cut.

I'm really excited for these. Getting a more intimiate look at the gears at work from RTD and Steven Moffatt is an exciting prospect and I DON'T HAVE TO COMPLETLY LET GO OF TWELVE YET. I really enjoyed Time Reaver and Jenny has a beautifully authentic take on the Tenth Doctor era (she's going to be back for volume three, right, BF?), so her novelisation will be fantastic.

Moffatt and Gaiman get along really well, though, so I think it's more likely he'll expand on the details in an interview one day. I think The Doctor's Wife is a stronger prospect, one day.

We really need to support these release, guys. Just think of the possibilities: an Impossible Planet/Satan Pit novelisation, The Girl in the Fireplace, Deep Breath, Flatline, Under The Lake/Before The Flood, The Girl Who Waited

(It was out of budget reasons then anything else. Damnit Ten, don't look at me like that)

Kids know The Doctor as The Doctor, not Doctor Who, so they were never going to go with the label for these releases. I don't know about the covers, yes, it's nice with the retro vibe for us fans, but I'm not sure how appealing they'll be elsewhere.

A part of me really wishes we'd got Doctor Who and The Day of the Doctor, but ah well. The covers look great, these sound really interesting.

They look great. Surprise they have kept the Target style look complete with Target logo. Thought they'd modernise it.

I love the way as a throwback they've used inaccurate or non-TV Dalek shapes akin to Ron Turner's flat fronted versions instead of the on-screen angled bow on the cover of DOTD.

If anyone's interested/near, there's a massive signing at Forbidden Planet London (in April I believe) with all 5 authors (RTD, Moffat, Jenny Colgan, Paul Cornell and James Goss) turning up. If you buy all 5 books you get a signed poster as well 😁.
