I dunno. A Target novelization isn't going to feel right if it's not written by Terrance Dicks and titled "Doctor Who and the..."

On one hand BBC book has the option of double dipping, releasing audio readings of these. On the other hand, will there be a viable market for novelisations of New Series stories? A Missing Episodes branch of unmade stories could be interesting though.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Hmmmmm well this is certainly interesting! Given that the tricky continuity points in The Day of the Doctor (and how new Nine is or isn't in Rose) it'll be interesting to see them expanded...

Never expected New Who novelisations to happen, really surprising but interesting news. Will there actually be a market for these though? (perhaps that explains why they have gone for 4 of the 'big' episodes first) Will be interesting to see if these are different to the TV versions or merely slightly expanded versions of the scripts. I wonder if they have a series editor to iron out any continuity issues?-RTD was always of the mind that Rose wasn't immediately post-regeneration for the 9th Doctor (something I and Big Finish evidently agrees with) but Moffat stated he viewed the 9th Doctor as being 'brand news' at the time... I wonder if they will coax Terrence Dicks out of retirement?

With the move to penquin books, news of Tv novelisations and rumours that Chibnall and the BBC wants a massive increase in merchandise/tie in stories, I wonder if we will see a return of sonmething like 'The Past Doctor Adventures' Big Finish and the comics are great, but Who has a huge history with prose stories and it would be great to get an ongoing range back again, I'd love to get some more War Doctor novels...

I think The Day of the Doctor will definitely be the most interesting. There's just so much they can do there, like expand on each Doctor's role in saving Gallifrey, and the 12th Doctor eyebrows scene. Plus why The Moment chose Bad Wolf - was there outside influence from actual Bad Wolf Rose during Parting of the Ways?
