I think it's possible we could get 1DAs with Lily Travers and Jared Garfield as Polly and Ben. However, it seems very unlikely we would get any with Vicki and Steven - I don't think we even know who played Maureen in AAISAT, and IMDB indicates that the guy who played Peter Purves only works as an extra. For clarity, in my post above I did mean the original classic series companion actors + Elliot Chapman.

Personally I'm not taking that approach, Bradley was cast by the BBC to perform the role as close to Hartnell as possible so 1DAs I feel. should not be viewed an alternate universe take.

Nick said in the podcast shared above that they're not parallel universe or anything off piste. They're other actors interpreting the role but the stories fit 'our' Ian, Susan and Barbara. So there's no reason BF couldn't - if they wanted - put David Bradley together with Anneke and Rob. Or Peter and Maureen for that matter (although Peter covers the Doctor himself very well).

Agree, AAISAT was partly an historical reenactment of the real Hartnell stories in production. So new stories with that team are imo best imagined as "lost" BBC stories from that era, all part of the same canon and in the same universe, as if they had been made in 1963/4. (But we'll be kind to the actors and imagine them some much bigger studios than in those early days, where there's room for all the scenery they want and the studio lights never set off the sprinklers... )

I think they should get away from putting David Bradley with the AAISAT cast. He’s an official First Doctor now. AAISAT?

An Adventure In Space And Time the TV Movie about the 1st Doctor Bradley was in. I know about the movie but my brain couldn’t translate the acronym.

As much as I love Nick Briggs as the Daleks - it would have been lovely if they got David Graham, one of the original Dalek voices, to reprise the role for ‘The Dalek Occupation of Winter’ - given that David has recently done some work for Big Finish it would have been great to have the authentic 60’s Dalek voice back for a 60’s Who story!

Also, if they ever wanted a "full cast" Peter and Maureen story they'd use Peter as 1 . Considering Peter Purves has never seen any other Doctor as the Doctor I think it would be silly to shove ole David in there. Peter has always been a perfect gentleman about it but Bill is HIS doctor and other than that he's just happy the show has lasted so long.
The whole point of the FDAs was a completely new but also familiar take on the first doctor.
They could do SDAs right now with Fraser as The Docto r. But they are doing something a bit different with them that is thoroughly enjoyable.

None of these stories feature William Russell or Carol Ann Ford, i hear William is not in the best of health but have Big Finish had a falling out with Carol over the recent First Doctor Adventures i wonder, strange not for one release to feature Susan if William can't record due to ill health maybe do a solo First Doctor & Susan story.

Nicholas Briggs has teased they’ve got stuff planned with Carole Ann Ford as Susan, so no they’ve not fallen out.

That would kind of render the whole point of the early Adventure moot if they were to have Carole Ann Ford play the part of the First Doctor.

William Russell has a convention appearance booked for March (regeneration who), a signing this month (tenth planet events), another con set for September (whooverville) so other than his age and the natural frailties that come with it, he can't be doing all that poorly.

William Russell has a convention appearance booked for April, so other than his age and the natural frailties that come with it, he can't be doing all that poorly. I imagine that talking to people at a convention and performing a 2 Hour Long Audio drama are probably two completely different ballparks. Honestly, I’ve got a feeling that William Russell hasn’t actually worked with Big Finish for A few years now. He’s had two stories out since 2014 and god knows when they were recorded.

I suspected they were recorded in 2014, but couldn’t find any actual dates to back that up so I thought I’d just not open up a can of worms when I’ve got no evidence to prove it other than conjecture.

He did Whooverville *last* September. I don't think anyone has been announced for this year yet.

Nicholas Briggs has teased they’ve got stuff planned with Carole Ann Ford as Susan, so no they’ve not fallen out. Yeah and even if Carole-Anne was peeved at not being told, a "falling out" doesn't have to impact their professional relationship and fall-outs can always be resolved. It's entirely possible she had an issue, Nick or whoever called her, and they sorted it. We're not entitled to the details of personal issues - as fun as the scurry can be sometimes. BF would be crazy - insane - to alienate Carole-Anne. Especially since she's in rude health and just coming off the back of "All Hands on Deck" - one of the best Susan stories ever that opens the door to much more with the older Susan post-Alex.
