Hard as it is to believe, there's still plenty more Classic series monsters/races that Big Finish haven't dug out yet. Sensorites (Lucie mentions she and the Monk visited them, and the Tenth Doctor notes the TARDIS has heard of the Sensesphere) The Macra The Chameleons from The Faceless Ones The Weed Creature from Fury from the Deep (in a Companion Chronicle or Early Adventure it would be perfect) The Dominators and the Quarks (likely there are rights issues involved) The Ambassadors of Death The Primoids of Inferno The Parasite from Mind of Evil (it was in an Unbound, but not a regular continuity story) The natives of Uxarieus from Colony in Space (might be a story involving the Doomsday Weapon) Daemons Solonians from The Mutants The natives of Inter Minor from Carnival of Monsters (it feels so right for dorney to write for them, considering what Robert Holmes intended to convey with the script) The Mandragora Helix The Fendahl The Usurians from The Sunmakers Tythonians from Creature from the Pit Mandrels The Foamasi Tharils (Romana's time in E-Space is a huge question mark, and Tharil War would be awesome) Terileptils Bandrils (Let's at least find out what is the butt of many jokes) Chimerons from Delta and the Bannermen

I can't imagine there's a lack of ambition or desire to use old monsters, but Big Finish's take over the years has always been about finding a new angle and doing something fresh and original with an existing monsters, rather then just doing another sequel. I imagine there have been a lot of meetings/retreats/ about it. Also, you don't want overuse every toy in the box, either.

The Chameleons could be used to explore identity. Some of these races have interesting biology and/or backgrounds that I think are worth exploring. The Terileptils are unexpectedly fleshed out for monsters of the week in The Visitation.

The Chemeleons could be an interesting one to put in a modern context. With people nowadays putting so much of their identities online, perhaps the Chameleons could start taking identities from people's social media?
I'd just love for Big Finish to do a story with the Bandrils and completely subvert their reputation by making them incredibly competent, perhaps they deliberately spread the stories of them being a joke to catch enemies unprepared.

All we have on them is one bit of footage. Big Finish have loads of room to do what they want.

Imagine the social network profile the Eleventh or Twelfth Doctor would create. The Twelfth Doctor would be like the aunt who shares Minion memes, thinking they're cool. I'd buy the story on that alone.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

The Foamasi pretend to be real people and generate dissent to create tension and factions in other societies so that they can profit from it - how can they not be topical at the moment?

It's a good list. Some of them were very story-specific (like the Primords) and one or two might be best left in their film cans (your choices!) but there are many I'd really like to see return: - Who were the Ambassadors 'of Death' really? We never found out who they were, where they were from ( not Mars) or what they wanted with Earth before things went pear-shaped. A Third/Jo earthbound sequel would be excellent. - I commented about 'The Blood Furnace' that the alien science used there sounded very similar to the Daemons' with its signs and incantations. I wondered if the Daemons were one of the powers responsible for exiling the aliens to Earth after their ancient war. The story of that War of the Daemons would make a great prequel to both adventures. - A return visit to Inter Minor would be so much fun, maybe during the chaotic and unconstitutional third term of President Vorg... All Hail the Great Vorg! And his lovely First Minister Shirna! - The Mandragora Helix is a given. The story ends by practically shouting 'sequel'! - And the Fendahl - all that 'fifth planet' backstory can't just have been filler, can it...? Surely there's a tale of ancient horror waiting to be told. - The Tharils. It's still not too late for me to understand 'Warrior's Gate' I suppose and a sequel could help! - The Terileptils could be anything. The group the Fifth Doctor met were dangerous criminals on the run, so we don't know what they are really like as a people except they love art and beauty. And glittery androids. - The Bandrils. Yes, let's hear about the Third Doctor and Jo's mysterious visit to Karfel at last!

The Helix itself didn’t appear. {Spoiler}The Orbos Postramo in Sarah Jane Smith was a group formed after Giuliano from Masque of Mandragora wrote about his experiences in that story, including the Doctor’s prediction of its return. This is what the Orbos Postramo anticipated, and when it didn’t appear to return the Crimson Chapter put their own doomsday plan into action. The Crimson Chapter theme naming its cover company after the Mandragora was using the name they got from the Book of Tomorrows.
As for the comet and the conclusion of Sarah Jane Smith, all we know is that something reached the shuttle Sarah was on and that she somehow returned to Earth. Nothing was ever explained, but it’s common speculation that it was the Doctor who intercepted the Dauntless and returned Sarah to Earth.

How about a "Myrka" or however it's spelled - the pathetically slow lumbering thing from that 5th doctor story (I want to say "warriors of the deep").
Come to think of it...Sea Devils as well?
Though it's probably best if they remain unused. They were a tad too silly. And besides, you can defeat The Myrka simply by walking away from it.
