I really hope the hunt for the TARDIS is an ongoing thing. This would be a great new idea and change the dynamic of the show a bit. Yes, it would have some drawbacks, but it has worked for other franchises, too. Just take Star Trek- in one of my favorite movies (Star Trek IV The Voyage Home) the Enterprise hardly features at all and this although the Enterprise was viewed for a long time as a integral part of the show. And the movie is even better for it- Klingon Birds of Prey are just awesome and that scene of them scaring the whalers off by uncloaking the sinister spaceship right over the whaling ship was one of my favorite ever Star Trek moments.

I'd bet we'll have the TARDIS back sooner than later. I'm thinking it'll be the end of this ep.

I think this one isn't actually directed by Jamie Childs, Wikipedia has Mark Tonderai as director.

Couple reviews for this already. Some mild spoilers in the independent. Run of the mill.

Well, it did blow up in Star Trek III. Oooops spoiler alert!

I'm in two minds about the TARDIS turning up (and it has been seen in photos from South African shooting) - part of me thinks it makes the new Doctor's identity complete, part of me wants a slow reveal of a time travelling police box to Graham, who could well have something to say about it. Either way I'm happy!

Also, seems like Art Malik is this episode. Based on his clothing and the whicker, I had assumed he would be from Patel's episode.

One thing I've enjoyed this week has been watching people switch from "No one will watch it" to "Of course, the first episode was always going to get high ratings" and from "The publicity is terrible and off-putting" to "They only watched because of the publicity" with no sense of shame.
I fully expect them to declare the perfectly normal drop-off in viewers to its regular level for this episode to be some sort of victory. I bet that even after the drop they'll still be better then most regular episodes from the past few years, though.

We did have one banned member, Budnp, tell us overnights would go down to 1 million with Jodie's casting. We'll see about that one - it's early days. I guess with predicting the sky is falling, you can always say "...I meant tomorrow" ad infinitum till it actually does.
