The Death Collectors/Spider’s Shadow (Stewart Sheargold)
Hmm. Not sure about this one. Has some very interesting and intelligent ideas and the Dar Traders are a still fascinating (if grossly underused) monster but it never really seemed to come together for me. Something was just off in its execution but for the life of me I couldn’t tell you what.
The latter story I thought was a significant improvement although I do think it was rather a waste of Kevin McNally. It’s good to know he would make further appearance in Big Finish after this.

Listened to the first two stories from the Ninth Doctor, and the second story from the recent 1st Doctor set, The Hollow Crown. All well written, well performed, and very enjoyable (all understatements).

My recent listens have included Diary of River Song 8, MR 253 Memories of a Tyrant, MR 254 Emissary of the Daleks, Baker's End: The King of Cats (Bafflegab), and the short trip The Astrea Conspiracy. Thoroughly enjoyed all of them.
Oh and I listened to the short trip The Revisionists last week.

After yesterday’s unfortunate news, I thought I’d cheer myself up by listening to one of my favourite Torchwood stories.
We Always Get Out Alive (Guy Adams)
It’s such a good story but with just a few tweaks to the script to tighten up a bit I think it would have been just about perfect.
