How do the behind-the-scenes materials stack up against a modern BF release? Unlike the modern releases with the actors and production team in the green room discussing the story they are recording... how lovely the other actors are and how yummy the lunches are, etc. The extra material on this is a retrospective 40 min documentary with Gary Russell, Marc Platt, Jason, Nick, Russell Stone, Gareth Jenkins, Peter, Sarah etc.. looking back at this story, what they remembered about it and how it was put together. It's a good documentary, it's great to hear Gary Russell again too... but at 40 mins probably not enough to justify buying the Spare Parts vinyl edition on it's own.

Sounds like it would be fun to listen to the commentary, but still too expensive for me.

So better than the usual aren't the lunches great BTS? Good to know. I'll look forward to re-buying Spare Parts & The Chimes Of Midnight on special editions CDs.

You put the features on a moratorium for a year from release, not unlike what they used to do for the late & lamented subscriber Christmas special, and then you sell the CD and make even more money.

Yeah, they could do that. But I suspect they wouldn't do it till the limited edition vinyl sells out. If they do it at all. (And actually, I wouldn't quibble with their right to wait till the limited edition sells out.)

I would hope they would not wait that long. Limited edition of 500 leaves a lot of regular subscribers and supporters with money in their hands looking for a way to spend it.

Well, it's not as though we're lacking in ways to spend our money on Big Finish, even if we don't have the money to buy fancy limited edition vinyl releases.
