And the big red box on the home page that says "If you have received an email from Big Finish this morning, click here. Phone lines will be closed for launch day as we prioritise emails." gives an error message if I try to click here. It just links to "entry::b9aba0c5-be7a-4aec-a492-86cf5ac2ee14" which my browsers can't make any sense of. Yeah was very confused what that meant. Nowhere in their news last week did they mention an email process. A bunch of people on Twiter reported getting "phantom" order confirmations overnight. Apparently it's all part of the process.

Nowhere in their news last week did they mention an email process. I suspect it’s referring to the weird emails lots of us got from Big Finish overnight, generally relating to prior pre orders. With totally wrong customer name and address info. Not encouraging … I’ve reported the dodgy link to Big Finish via Facebook.

Statement om the ghost emails: Was "interesting" watching FB all day - multiple BF sites this ^ question popping up easily a dozen times. Instead of checking the last post there was a flood of "what do I do with this email?" and BF copy/pasting the same stock standard response..

People aren't, they are securing their purchases due to not trusting BF. I don't think its the same as the toilet roll thing. Well, people panicked and bought toilet rolls because they didn't trust there would be any the next day. Like there's no BF website at the time of writing. True. But I think this is a wake up call to people who think if they have an audio on the app they actually own it. Everyone should keep a downloaded copy as a guarantee.

This isn't their first site transition. Yesterday wasn't the first time servers overloaded. Just like a LOT of areas like PR or feedback from listeners, IT is an area they clearly never learn from.
Couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

I think we must be either shifted by a nano-second in Time (that's all it takes apparently) or else 'Street 1' is one of those strange places like in 'Scherzo'. Dimensionally infinite or whatever. So every BF customer can live there, all at once and you're right! We only need buy one copy of each release between us. It's not going to help their revenue stream much is it?
You can’t see me because my mother was from Spiridon and my father is a Kravayis. How they even found each other, I do not know.
Traditionally a blue fur cloak does the trick. That, or spray paint.

"Site Due live at this time but give X number hours before trying or watch Official socials for Updates"

Well, having a look through (when I can) and this is very chaotic... Not sure how anyone would find a certain range quickly as they all seem mixed in.
The 'What's New' isn't very clear either. I always found that a really easy way of tracking what's coming up month by month (plan purchases).
To be fair, searching by character is neat.
I guess it will just take some getting used to.

It’s mostly working for me, other than images. I’m only on mobile at the mo so can only report for that. So far I’ve noticed that the ‘collections’ menu isn’t scrollable, so The Worlds of Doctor Who, for example, is only browsable up to Dark Gallifrey on my phone.
Also, and I might just be being daft here, but I can’t actually find a direct link to specific series without doing a deep dive. Going to Doctor Who takes me to a scrollable list with each Doctor; clicking on each takes me to a page with every release of theirs on (the old ‘collections’ type of thing). But I can’t see a direct link to, say, The Fifth Doctor Adventures anywhere obvious. If I want to look at the complete Lost Stories range, I have to go to Doctor Who, then click on Doctor Who (1963-1996), then use the menu at the bottom and scroll down to The Lost Stories. Maybe this is better on desktop, but it doesn’t half feel fiddly.

To be fair, searching by character is neat. Agreed, the sort & filter section is a nice addition, looks like it could be a very useful feature. From reading about all the new additions it seems like they have genuinely put a lot of time into making the site more useful. But so far, the navigation leaves a lot to be desired.

My postal address has not ported over to the account section correctly. This is looking exactly like the dodgy preorder emails I got overnight. I will email them. This is potentially a *huge* problem. I can't seem to upload an image here, but this is what my address looks like in the account section of the new website: Vivienne Dunstan Address line 1 London State Postcode United Kingdom This is very very very wrong. I have imminent preorders due. I have emailed them.

One thing (I've only found one so far) that the new website fixes - search is actually usable.
If it didn't keep breaking, I'd be tempted to count how many clicks it would take to buy the 13th Doctor series on CD. Previously - a few clicks to add the bundle. Now, click on each one individually to add it to the cart. But getting to each one involves going all the way back to the top level, you can't even navigate between releases in the series anymore, let alone just select the full dozen and click 'add all' to cart. Ok the price for this is slightly less on the new site, but it's a hell of a lot more work! Hopefully this is a relatively easy fix once the new site is bedded in...
