I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, it's always great to see multiple Doctors in the same story. On the other, if they do it every summer as an event eventually it'll become less 'special'. I agree. It looks like an interesting story and I like what Titan is doing with the license, but multi Doctors all the time will have diminishing returns. It may be the nature of the comic book industry. Comic companies have to shift books and we see both Marvel and DC regularly pushing major events that sell comics but aren't so special anymore because they're done so often. For example, the constant renumbering of titles to get the sales boost from new #1 issues and Marvel's once a year death of a character roulette. Having a Multi-Cybermen story to celebrate the Cybermen would be a more fitting event series. They could have every version of the Cybermen in the same story.

I just read the first volume of the Ninth Doctor series. It's a solid start. Good character development for the Doctor as he confronts part of his past, and some nice action hero moments for Jack. The pacing is a bit too revved up for my taste. Made it hard to have time to assimilate the many, many big ideas the story throws out on each page.

Twice is okay, but if they do it once a year (especially if it's the same Doctors every year) it'll go stale quickly.

Twice is okay, but if they do it once a year (especially if it's the same Doctors every year) it'll go stale quickly. Often with comics the companies have big Summer events, because they draw big interest and lots more people buying their comics. Last year DC did Convergence and Marvel Secret Wars, both affecting most, if not all, of their titles and having a major effect on continuity (Secret Wars being the first cosmic retcon Marvel has done). This year Marvel are doing Civil War II, for obvious reasons, and DC are overhauling the main continuity with Rebirth (taking out what didn't work but keeping what did from The New 52 continuity). Obviously since Titan doesn't have as big a presence as Marvel or DC, as well as fewer characters to play with, they've got to be very clever with their Summer events. Personally, The Four Doctors last year didn't really do it for me, so I'll wait until all the issues have been released and reviews come in before deciding if I pick up Supremacy of the Cybermen. Question here, if anyone has the hardcover collected Four Doctors, does it include the funnies at the back? There's a minor plot point key to the story in one of them and excluding them might affect how one understands the story.

I have the Titan Four Doctors hardcover and I can confirm that the single page back-up strips from the individual comics are included in the collected edition.

Yeah, I think if they do it a 3rd year they should use the 4th, 8th and War Doctors instead with the 9th appearing as much as the War Doctor does in the Four Doctors.

Got my pre-order in for the omnibus editions of the Cybermen special and all the other Doctor Who that Titan is putting out this year.
I hope the Cybermen series is better than the Four Doctors was. I found that one had a rather flat and uninspiring story.

Yes, this year's Titan's Doctor Who FCBD is four new short stories, and (like last year) they are produced specially for the FCBD release and not reprints of previously published stories.

Thats cool. [...] shame i didnt get last years one then I'm sure there are still some of last year's Doctor Who FCBD issues available from online retailers. Although Titan did include the FCBD 2015 stories in the relevant Doctor's collected hardback volumes, so the stories are still available even if you can't locate a copy of last year's FCBD Special.

Actually is it better the get the Hardcovers or Paperbacks of the Titan Volumes? or does it really come down to personal preference on that

I think the hardbacks will last longer on a bookshelf myself, and they do look nice and neat lined up. But as long as you are happy buying and readng the Titan Doctor Who stories, whatever format you choose is up to you.

Some really fun vignettes in there - especially the Tenth and Ninth Doctor stories. Quite continuity heavy too with {Spoiler} Osgood, K1, Abslom Daak, another Edge of Destruction and No Place Like Home type story and a trip to the Eye of Orion.
