I've been trying not to get my hopes up that this rumor was legit . . .
But I really hope it is.

If it is ME material how've they managed to keep it under warps so well this time and why reveal at midnight at mid-week and if its fully animated where'd that funding come from?
But well done the BBC for marking Pat's 50th anniversary in either case hopefully

mark687 It'll be fully animated. I doubt they have found any missing Power episodes.

mark687 It'll be fully animated. I doubt they have found any missing Power episodes. Until half a hour ago I thought it being released even fully animated would be highly unlikely but we'll find out in just over an hour.

Nor us Australians. Still, first time I see it, I claim it as mine. I'm really excited for it.

They need to animate more lost episodes as it looks so good and all audio is still intact from lost episodes. The animation is so good!

I'm glad this turned out to be real! I'm delighted by the approach to the project and how good the animation looks. I hope this winds up being the first in a line of newly animated lost stories.
Kudos to the BBC for keeping this under wraps for so long, too!
Now to wait for a US physical release . . .

I think if they have an animation studio that can do it for a decent price and if Power of the Daleks does well commercially they might consider doing more. But, I think in the past due to the high cost of animation there hasn't been a ton of profit made on the five that have received partial animation. I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will correct me with the relevant sales figures.

Of course no word on when we North Americans will be able to get our ha ponds on it. Since the BBC store is UK-only, I guess I-Tunes for international sales makes sense, since that's where Enemy and Web were sold. As for the DVD...well, Underwater Menace was months behind the UK one and there's no sign of the TV Movie bluray overseas so that might not be so swift based on current trends.

Cool. Of course, we'll be stuck with commercials until it comes out on streaming or DVD, but that's still pretty cool.

If this is successful, I hope they do Evil of the Daleks. Even without being able to actually see it, that is one of my favorite Second Doctor stories.

Hopefully the coproduction deal with bbc America and bbc worldwide will be more than just a 1 off. About another 18 or 19 of these more would be great

Wow. This all happened really quickly. I didn't know anything about it. Really exciting news though. An easy R2 purchase for me.

I hope we get Fury from the Deep someday as well as Evil of the Daleks! Both are great to listen to, but I often think they'd be just a shade better with visuals!

I suspect that Evil of the Daleks is more likely since it has Daleks. Fury from the Deep would be cool though.
