David Tennant is a fan of Doctor Who so his future involvement is more a labour of love, it was just a acting job to Chris but he should've known taking on a high profile role gains attention. Not a big Ninth Doctor fan so his current non involvement don't bother me. To be fair to Eccleston, I don't think he, the producers (or even the public) were expecting Who to become such an immediate and big hit, Who had always been popular but dare I say it by 2005 was more of a partly forgotten cult program than populist hit, I'm English (born in the early 90's) and have vague memories of watching the Peter Cushing films and the odd clip of Tom Baker's Dr as a kid and knew what a dalek was, but knew next to nothing about the show or its history, yet overnight everyone seemed to be talking about it again. Not saying he or the writers had a lack pf faifth in the material per se, just that they were perhaps surprised by how well it did. Brings to mind the question, if Series 1 had flopped commerically, what would have happened to the show? Would Big Finish still be going or would they peter out eventually? Would they have persuaded Eccleston to return then? And think of Tennant...McGann had an hour of screentime, the 10th Doctor would have had 30 seconds...

- He hasn't had a high-profile U.S. career like David Tennant or Karen Gillan. I don't know what the HBO series he's in but I can guarantee it won't be anything as big as Jessica Jones or Selfie. The Leftovers has been one of the most critically acclaimed new dramas of recent years. Selfie was cancelled after just over a month.

It's not obvious at all and Nick's most recent comments suggest it is proving difficult, yet somehow neither Tennant nor Smith get the same resentment as Eccleston seems to be receiving. Actually I think our best chance of a further release with Ten is for him to guest on one disc of a four-disc Jenny release. I must admit to being surprised that DTs last job of 2016 was Ducktales VO work, the amount of BF he could've done in that time, however I suspect Disney paid at least double what BF can. EDIT
(Actully apart from Broadchurch an RD King biopic and a short film by GM all his work in 2016 was VO
Source
www.imdb.com/name/nm0855039/ )
Still there's a small chance I suppose he might record some BF in his off days from the theatre production of Don Juan in the West End during the spring.

Let's not forget Tennant may be a huge fan of Who and eager to more Big Finish, but his agent may have different ideas...

It looked like a show that would have been ideal for E4.

There's obviously going to be a 10DA Volume 2. I wish they'd just hurry up and announce it. Seriously, Big Finish: we all know it'll be in the pipeline so put us out of our misery and allow us to pre-order it! Scheduling could be a major issue. It took ages for Big Finish to get David and Catherine for the same three days. They both have active careers compared to the other Doctor and companion actors. It seems to be more a case of when, rather than if. I don't know about you, but if I pre-order something I'd rather have a release date nailed down first. There's a morbid trollish part of me that kinda hopes BF announce Tennant for more audios...then in very small lettering underneath announce he is actually reprising one of his old roles from another BF story, the Daft Jamie chronicles perhaps... I always enjoy the paring of 10 and Donna, but I'd love to hear Wilf make a return...

It looked like a show that would have been ideal for E4. It got cancelled with only 13 episodes produced because of awful ratings, so it may well not be worth E4 paying to acquire a programme they could show 2 episodes a day of each weekday and be done by the second Tuesday.

I'd be happy with three audios where the 10th Doctor is stranded on Earth during the Specials years and Wilf becomes his companion. That would get around the problem that Wilf had clearly never been inside the TARDIS before in The End of Time. Just because you want something to happen, doesn't mean it is going to or that anyone is under any obligation to make it happen. Chill out with the CE business please. Enjoy what we have and what we have coming.

They didn't, the remaining 6 apparently were released on the Hulu platform.

They could always bring back the REG or Rowan Atkinson Doctors instead, everyone loves those, right?

I've not read it yet, but I've heard that the BBC EDA novel 'The Tommorow Windows' has a scene where the 8th Doctor looks into his future and sees visions of potential future incarnations including R.E.G and Atkinson, I think the theory was each of the the 9th Doctors followed on from a separate era of the 8th Doctor stories (one for comics, one for audio, one for novels).
