{Spoiler} So we have Eleven's first appearance outside of Destiny of the Doctor, yes? And now Eleven's theme music in BF as well, albeit in a perfunctory performance unquestionably curtailed.

I wonder if the end when they talk about going to the pub with The Doctor and George hears the TARDIS is a hint that Matt Smith will be in the next Jago & Litefoot box set?

It felt a bit curious for the Tenth Doctor to say "oh my giddy aunt" and then "geronimo" in the same phrase but since this takes place when he's regenerating it must be ghosts of past and future incarnations playing havoc I enjoyed this release That took me right out of it. I was beginning to wonder if I'd missed something and the second Doctor had shown up!

Eleven is very good at reminding me of both Two and Three somehow.

Eleven is very good at reminding me of both Two and Three somehow. I'd say that War reminds me of One, Eleven reminds me of Two, Twelve reminds me of Three, Ten reminds me of both Four and Five, and Nine reminds me of Six (in a good way).

Finally got round to listening to this. It's a completely shallow pair of episodes and pretty much nothing happens, but how delightful to hear from Jago & Litefoot without getting bogged down in their own spin-off. I wish it had been edited differently though; Act One Litefoot and Ten & Act Two Jago and Eleven.

I have noticed, as I was scrolling through the Big Finish App updating it with all the new Short Trips I bought yesterday, that the cover for The Jago & Litefoot Revival - Act Two has been changed; I then checked on the website, and it's been changed there too. During this latest spout of Short Trips shenanigans, the alternate cover of Act Two is now the product image. For those who hadn't already listened to it, that's the big surprise gone...
EDIT: Additionally, both Acts have been added to the "Collected 11th Doctor Range", so it's going to be a bit hard to miss the plot twist now... I feel sorry for any newcomers, as I think the surprise of the Eleventh Doctor turning up is much better than knowing he was already going to be in it.

Even got a bit teary eyed when Litefoot described the Doctor. I did too. I listened to this recently and I thought "It's almost as if George is talking about Trevor Baxter....." I got this as part of my recent(End of January!) subscription to Short Trips. I can say that even though I am not an ardent subscribor of the J and L range I do love their characters and was gutted by Trevor's passing. I read Bodysnatchers for the first time a few months ago and have always been a Litefoot fan over Mr. Jago(only my favourite. Jago is a delight too!) He is truly a loss to all the community and when there is a sale I want to pick up the more recent releases and may grab J & L forever when it drops. I remember a interview with Trevor and he said he doesn't own a tv. But he mentions that he broke down and bought a kindle because it had 1000 books to be stored on it. I remember thinking "In some ways that's even more old fashioned!" and smiling over it. I love a physical book 'knowledge should be smelly' but when you can carry the entire Wilderness years and beyond DW catalogue on your kindle you have to. I have always said CC style adventures are the truest interpretation of a Doctor you can get. Because it's how they see it and how they experience the Doctor. Jamie gives the most perfect impression of Troughton because Jamie traveled with him so long, and there are aspects of every performance that reflects the character. This was no different. George's impression was of a fast talkong but friendly man in a modern suit who also was in a rush. And... it's fitting from his perspective. Especially considering the dominant slower era of J & L vs the New Series. Jago's impression of the Doctor goes out of his way to nail the accent as perfectly prescient and precise as possible. Which for a Theatrically Trained Teller of Tales is perfect for Jago. It is also the best cliffhanger I have heard and I had to run it back anf listen to the last 3 minutes because I could barely believe my own ears. I even downloaded the spoilery artwork for the second 'disc' to display in my audiobook player. I am glad I heard it when I did. It was very well done and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It's a very fitting final short trip for the Deftly Dramatic and Dynamic Duo we all love.

Well, I finally got around to listening to this two-parter and... I dunno. It just didn't do much for me. I didn't find either Jago or Litefoot to be terribly interesting or dynamic characters, and the Doctor's involvement in the story seemed pretty incidental. Would ya'll say that these stories are very indicative of other J&L stories? And if not, is there a better story I should seek out to 'introduce' myself to these characters?
So far I'm thinking I'll probably skip any future J&L stories, though I do still have Jago & Litefoot & Strax in my queue to listen to--perhaps the inclusion of Strax will create a more interesting dynamic there.

I wouldn’t have started with revival . I take it (am not sure) you know Talons Of Weng Chiang?

Yeah, Revival was not a good place to start. Have you heard The Mahogany Murderers? That is the best place to start with these two. Give them another chance. You won't be disappointed. (When I started listening to BF I had no desire to listen to J&L. But I heard that one and just got it. )
