Written by Sarah Dollard (Face the Raven) and directed by Lawrence Gough (The Pilot, Friend from the Future) Shall I just spend the entire episode looking out for the other Doctors as they all avoid each other, or listen for Stevie Wonder?

Nicholas Burn, who plays Sutcliffe, was the Referee in the Torchwood audio Moving Target.

Another Sarah Dollard script. Nice. I wonder if they'll throw in an off-the-cuff reference to Frostfire or not?

Someone (on Reddit, I believe) said that Sarah Dollard wrote a line in the script where the Doctor remarks about visiting the Frost Fair a few times in the past, but she said it's been cut from the final episode apparently.

Well I enjoyed that!
3 very good EPs in a row.
The strongest and most equal Doctor/ Companion partnership in the Moffatt Era IMO
All aspects of the Doctor's Raison Detre, good and bad, explained and explored.
A slightly rushed conclusion again but that's the side-effect of a 1 parter.

Me too. The only (small) criticism I have is that they could have setup the main villain a bit earlier in the story, but other than that, great stuff. It's so nice to be enjoying Doctor Who again.

Yes, "Kill the Fish" was considerably better than "Thin Shell Round the Moon"....

Well. I enjoyed every single thing about that episode. It looked amazing, the story was wonderful, dialogue a true delight, every performance was pretty much perfect ... my favourite episode of the series so far. Probably my favourite Capaldi episode, actually. Actually, best episode since ... I'm not sure when.
The Pilot was an 8, Smile was a 7. This, undoubtedly, is a magnificent 10.

That was an enjoyable episode, so far I would say things are getting better as the series progresses. However, I find myself liking Bill less and less as the weeks progress.
I can't really put a finger on what I don't like about her, something about her character isn't clicking with me. Surprisingly im liking Nardole more than I thought possible.

She doesn't know her history, for one thing.... slavery in Great Britain had been abolished for some years - longer, in fact, than serfdom in Scotland. Seriously, though, I think that while it's necessary to have the companions have to deal with the deaths all around them (in order to avoid a Tegan-thinks-its-no-longer-fun scenario) it is a bit of a drag to watch and holds up the story: it was irritating to see Bill sulk like that, but entirely understandable.

Really enjoyed that, good balance between scares and shocks, solid direction/acting, nice speech by Capaldi and it didn't shy away from the race issues of the day, excellent pacing and I'm really liking the Bill/12 partnership so far, probably the best of the three episodes so far 8/10 i.m.o. I liked that we got a brief return to more aloof, methodical 12th Doctor from early Series 8. If I were to nitpick, as christmastrenzalore said they could have set up the main villain a bit earlier and the Doctor's nonchalance about releasing a giant sea creature into the waters of the world seemed a little odd, but overall a thoroughly enjoyable episode. And I think the knocking on the vault was a hint...it's Bernard Cribbins returning as Wilf

Quite enjoyable. The ending seemed a tad rushed-how did the Doctor get all those explosives under the ice so quickly? But otherwise, nicely done.
Nice to have Bill be a bit conflicted about the death that comes with time travel, it's too often skipped over. Though did feel the Doctor was portrayed a bit too callously to make it work (his immediate concern with his screwdriver seemed a bit much), but they redeemed that by the end with his speech at Sutcliffe.
As for the knocking, well who knows? It's a confirmation that someone is in the Vault but I suspect it's a red herring as to their identity.

i know we are only episode 3 but i have to say i have not enjoyed "TV Who" this much since series 4.
Bill is turning out to be the breath of fresh air the show has been in need of. The doctor is settling into his persona, and ditching the spikeyness that so irritated me from previous series & Nardole is being used just enough to actually look forward to seeing him each episode.
The story was standard fair, but refreshing in the fact that we didn't have to have a pointless twist, techno babble or resets.
great fun and liked the fact that, the doctors frequent previous visits to the frost fair in the expanded universe were acknowledged.

I did think the title was a tad misleading...most of the ice didn't seem that thin, it could support the weight of dozens of people (and from what I've read about pollution in London of the time it should have probably been brown...).
Half expected the Doctor to make a reference to Lock Ness being a suitable home for the creature...
Laughed very hard at Lucas's line about spicing the tea up with coffee, Nardole continues to impress in his low key way, a slightly befuddled, grumpy, but well meaning butler slightly terrified of his responsibilities but loyal enough to get on with them.
