It's struck me that it's been nearly 5 years since Davros' full appearance in an audio, does anyone think he's due a comeback?
I admit I was surprised when they did The Curse of Davros and Daleks Among Us as they seemed to have filled his story gaps, Terry Molloy is my favourite Davros but I guess the most sensible place to put him is in a Time War release, where he could be reprised by Julian Bleach?
Or they could adapt the 2005 stage play, The Trial of Davros?

Not a character that I really miss to be honest.

I was thinking this the other day. I’d be down for Julian Bleach showing up in one of the Time War boxsets.

Davros was reported as believed dead in 1st year of time war so logically one would expect him to appear in stories detailing the early stages of the war. Which is kind of where bf are now at in the 8th dr time war and gallifrey series'. So maybe?

To me Davros is like the good china. You only break him out on special occasions or when you have a really good story to tell.

I’d like to give him a rematch against Tom Baker personally.

War Master versus Davros, as thr box set, but with the eighth Doctor in the finale trying to save Davros from the Nightmare Child.

Not a character that I really miss to be honest. Yeah Davros is way overrated. It's not like the Daleks really need a non-Dalek mouthpiece to help them be ruthless evil bas***ds. Leave Davros where he belongs... on the sidelines.
More Dalek stories are always welcome though!

I can only ever think of Davros being used well twice out of the stories I've seen/heard, so if they're gonna break him out for a Time War release it better be damn good.

With David Gooderson as Davros's henchman or a rival, perhaps?

Honestly, I'd rather Molloy over Bleach for the Time War box sets and Davros's inevitable return in the main thrust of the Eighth Doctor narrative - Molloy's been in the role longer and I don't think it'd be that confusing for revival listeners - just a note on the website (Davros is played by Terry Molloy, who took on the role in from original actor Michael Fisher in 1985...) or some such would cover it. I doubt Big Finish would recast Bleach, over Molloy anyway.

I reckon they would- Time War is a new series range, after all. If they could get Bleach in then why wouldn’t they?

Molloy's been with them for a long time and Big Finish and Molloy from interviews seem to be very fond of each other and have a good working relationship. People coming in from the revival understand that Davros is a legacy role, regardless. A note on the website would cover it (Davros is played by Terry Molloy, who took on the role of Davros in the 1985 and succeded original actor Michael Fisher since 2003 by reprising the role at Big Finish).

I think it’s probably more of an insult to Julian Bleach to not want him back than it is for Terry Molloy to sit out for one release as Davros. He’ll still be in the classic series releases if/when they want him to be. It’s better to have Bleach come back both because it is his version of Davros that gets pulled straight out of the Time War, and because of the maintenance of brand consistency. BF are catering towards a new series audience with Time War releases so it makes little sense to hold onto Molloy when the rest of the returning cast have new series stylings.

They could always cast Bleach as a nightmarish Time War creation or some such alongside Molloy's Davros in the set as a nice nod The role is a legacy and I'm sure Julian Bleach understands that given the research and clear appreciation for past performers (including Molloy) evident in his TV apperances in the revival. I do think we're getting Molloy.

You don't want to tell everything right away, though. Davros unhinged by the Time War taunting Eight is something I'd love to see, though.
