First 8th Box that was verging on meh for me. Kaldor and Seizure? Liked that, and for the first time I didn't like a John Dorney story. Oh well.

...which still works out as a compliment.
I still have to give it another resolution, but I recall not liking the resolution to the two-parter (Ep 2 & 3) so much.

I am saving it up to listen to it again under the Christmas tree by the fire at home. I really enjoyed it and would like to give it some special atmosphere.

I might be lying there as in falsehood as who lies in a cellar.

For me those stories were...ok. They weren't box set material. God, it sounds like I'm dissing Dorney, a writer I love. I'm not. But for THIS listener those weren't his A game.

Well each person likes what they like. A for you, not A for me. Yes everyone gets something a little different from their listening definitely.I find this an enjoyable entertaining set in that when i start Kaldor i end up listening to all the stories.

I really enjoyed Escape from Kaldor. I like the Robots anyway and they’re well served here, albeit with more of an emphasis on building up Kaldor as a society. This would’ve been a perfect exit story for Liv, though I am still enjoying the character. The most intriguing part of the story was the final five minutes, which happened off screen, so to speak! I hope that’ll be revisited at some point, as a Short Trip if not in a future Ravenous set.

Better Watch Out & Fairytale of Salzburg; brilliant. Very character driven, this TARDIS team really shine. The Wish Guy is perhaps a bit convenient, but the whole story is so very well structured and his presence is seeded throughout the story, so it works. I suspect this isn't the last we hear from him.
I thought the final confrontation with the Krampus was a bit of an anti-climax. I'm not sure if that's because his presence doesn't feel built up throughout, or the sound design lets it down. Another little nitpick is I'm not quite sure when this is meant to be set? There's clearly cars, and it's a red suited Father Christmas, but there's also the Victorian tropes littered throughout. I'm guessing it's relatively recent, but with Christmassy homages.
It's the best of Ravenous so far, certainly.

Disappointed with Seizure. The first three parts of this set have done some great character stuff, yet this one does very little. Helen meets the Eleven again, yet nothing is done with it. The Eleven does very little, bar telling his previous selves to button it; almost like a parody of the character. The Time Lady - sorry, I’ve forgotten her name - is a predictable plot device.
The Ravenous are built up, yet amount to someone chasing the characters down TARDIS corridors. I appreciate they’ll develop in the next two sets, but this really should’ve been done early on in the first set. As it stands, I’m just not interested in this arc. It’s the Ravenous themed episodes that are letting this set down. I thought Doom Coalition was incredible, so it’s gutting to see the Ravenous arc is lacking so far. The standalone episodes are doing such great character stuff.

The standalone episodes are doing such great character stuff. Yeah, I agree, the Ravenous here are a bit of a disappointment. This was also my point of critique (pretty much the only one I had for this set). I hope they develop past the "Boogeymen eating Time Lords who growl a lot" image they got so far. The Doctor needs a villain he can test his brains against... and not the space equivalent of a great white shark.

It didn’t help that the Ravenous ended up sounding like The Eleven with some additional sound effects. A couple of times the sound design let this set down.

Finally getting round to this set. Escape From Kaldor was quite a solid runaround with the robots (of death), delving a little deeper into Kaldor society was nice. Nice little tease at the end with Liv’s gap year, I assume that will be explored later down the line.
